Following that win, the men’s team sealed the No. 1 seed in the Northeast Conference Tournament with their Saturday night victory over Fairleigh Dickinson and Robert Morris’ loss against Mount St. Mary’s. Rutty scored 25 points and 12 rebounds on Thursday, and followed up with 14 points and 13 rebounds on Saturday. This was the first ever NEC regular-season championship for Quinnipiac.
