Asset Management This document is intended to explain how to add content such as images and PDF files into pages of the publication. Asset management is the process by which assets, such as PDF files or images are uploaded to the publication and inserted into a webpage. In Lenya, assets can only be used in the page that they are uploaded to. However assets can also be added to a shared folder in the file system using sftp and can be used within any presentation xslt file. Assets can be either inserted directly into a document or can be uploaded for later insertion. Direct insertion happens when editing the document, upload and removal can be done using the Asset tab within the Site tab
1. Assets in Lenya Adding an Asset: For each page of your publication, in the Site TAB, there is a tab on the right side called Assets. Image and PDF files can all be added using the Assets TAB. For a file to be uploaded, the file name should not include any white space or special characters. To upload an asset simply click the “New Asset” button and browse to the file on your local machine. The Asset is then copied into the publication when you click the “Submit” button. Removing an Asset: In the same area, press the delete button beside the asset you wish to remove. The asset information should be removed right away

3. Add a Description 4. In the first window, add a description for the image, the description will be seen if the image is unavailable. 5. When you have completed the formatting of the image, press Insert.
