Getting to Winton

Celebrating ten years of the Festival and our filmmaking Boot Camps this year is exciting! Over 600 young filmmakers have created over 50 films over the past decade as part of our programs. They were challenged to produce films in under a week and did some inspiring work. Many are now enjoying highly successful industry careers, and we’ll be showcasing many of them this year as part of the festival retrospective and short film showcases, and we hope you can join us!

As you can imagine, it takes incredible teamwork and commitment to make this possible. Kolperi is a tightknit partnership between our beloved Guwa-Koa Elders, the Winton Shire Council, the Festival, and the Griffith Film School, whose incredible commitment to the next generation of filmmakers is recognised worldwide. This year we will again have over a hundred young filmmakers in Winton throughout the Festival as part of our Bootcamp and Industry Programs.

We hope you take a minute to say hi to all those students and industry guests you will see throughout the Festival, and join us for one of the celebratory screenings.
