Composition Lunchtime Concert

Versailles

LISA FINKEL

There is no storyline or meaning to this piece other than that it's set in the late 1600s during the reign of King Louis the 14th, otherwise known as the Sun King, at the palace of Versailles with all its beautiful gardens and fountains. Even though a little context is given, the piece is open to the audiences' unique interpretations. It's a privilege to have this work performed and I'd like to acknowledge every one of my musicians for all their efforts into this piece! Enjoy!

When I Say That I Love You

When I say that I love you is a slow-tempo jazz ballad which evokes the inner-spark that you feel when you're in love with someone special. Harmonically, I was inspired by the compositions of Roger and Hammerstein as I have an immense love of the musical theatre genre. I hope you enjoy!

This chart, inspired by a longrunning linguistic misnomer of 'don't be rude', is here presented by Brisbane pop mainstays Jam & Scones, and featuring Beau Thompson on the Tenor Saxophone.
