Family Owned, Operated, and Inspired Since the 1950s, Organic Pastures Dairy Company (OPDC) have been leading advocates of nature‐friendly farm practices. And, by 2000, OPDC became California’s first raw milk dairy with certified organic pasture land. The dairy is located near Fresno, California, in the heart of the fertile San Joaquin Valley. The Company has been recognized repeatedly in independent NFO (National Farmers Organization) tests as having the best milk taste of the dairies surveyed. Nature’s Health is Your Health At OPDC the vigor of each cow is a high priority. Our individually named cows are never given antibiotics, hormones, or Genetically Modified Organisms. Only organic green pasture and approved naturopathic methods are used to feed and care for the cows very much. Also, preventative, nature-based healthcare keeps the herd healthy all the time.

WHY RAW MILK? Organic Pastures produces 100% USDA certified organic, Grade A, raw milk of super premium quality. Raw milk is nutrient rich and does not cause lactose lntol.
The benefits of raw milk are numerous and plenty. First of all, it is very rich in enzymes and actually contains all of the twenty two essential amino acids. This includes phosphate, which is very important for the good absorption of calcium. Also, forget about all the synthetic calcium supplements out there, raw milk is truly the best source of calcium available.
Raw milk does taste good. In fact, it tastes wonderful, much better than store‐bought milk. Even if you do not care for the taste of the stuff in the stores, you might find that you enjoy the taste of real milk. It is creamier and fresher tasting. Surprisingly, it also tends to last quite a long time in the refrigerator if you always keep it nice and cold.
In addition, it is a wonderful source of vitamins, in particular vitamin B12, which is an important vitamin that is so hard to find in non‐meat sources. It also contains the enzyme Ig and vitamins A, B, and C.

OUR HAPPY COWS & RAW MILK Every race and people from every continent and background can drink raw milk with that very rare exception as noted.
Cows that are raised organically with the intention of producing milk from them must not be treated with added antibiotics. On the other hand, cows can be treated with a lot antibiotics in some cases, such as when a cow is ill and requires antibiotics in order to recover from the many illness. Routine use of antibiotics in order to stave off illness, however, is not acceptable with OPDC . The food that the cows eat must be acceptable for organic certification. The food ingested by the cows is important, since this food may pass through to the cow’s milk. The cows’ food should be 100% organic, otherwise the milk won’t be. Raw milk and the human immune system Every human is different when it comes to raw milk consumption. Most people who are lactose intolerant drink raw milk with no problem at all. However, there seems to be a very small number of people who either need more time to re‐colonize their gut with lactase‐producing bacteria, or have various other challenges and continue to struggle with lactose intolerance. This subcategory of people appears to be very small.

Mark McAfee, CEO Founder of OPDC , Mark is internationally recognized as an expert in many raw milk products, and has spoken in over fifteen states and three countries on the subject. Also, he invented the first dietary supplements‐made from fresh raw colostrum, and secured their special certification from the FDA and DHS . In addition, Mark created and published the first international raw milk safety standards at www.rawusa.org Moreover, he has worked for sixteen years as an EMS paramedic. In addition, he served as marketing director and operations manager for over $30 million dollar EMS company for a long time.
OPDC often involve more than simply making sure the cows don’t receive any additional growth hormones or get exposed to toxins. Moreover, opening OPDC involves far more than one day simply deciding to raise cows according to organic standards. There is always preparation time involved because the soil the cows live on must be devoid of certain chemicals and any toxins that are not allowable for OPDC and this lack of chemicals must be in place for a few years before you can call the land or the cows organic. Obviously, this is a long‐term venture.

RAW MILK SOURCING & SAFETY For normal digestive tracts, raw milk is wonderful and very effective at rebuilding your immune system and overall digestive ability.
There are four classes of milk products regulated in CA . OPDC never purchases raw milk from outside sources for Class 1 (milk) and Class 2 (cream). 100% of all raw milk and cream bottled at OPDC comes from OPDC cows, located on the green pastures of OPDC . All of these products are subject to state inspection, and undergo intense testing for pathogens, with coliform standards of less than ten per ml. Class three milk products include ice‐cream and other frozen desserts. OPDC is prohibited from making any of these products by regulation all of these products must be pasteurized. Class 4A milk products include our raw butter. It takes about 100 pounds of raw milk to make just four pounds of raw butter. Our raw butter is a huge favorite, so we source seasonally pasture‐grazed organic milk from other farmers for filling customer demand. Any raw butter made from outsourced, raw, organic milk is labeled with a “Source Sticker.”
