ECH-485 WEEK 3 ASSESSMENT PLAN DOWNLOAD Details: The purpose of this assignment is to examine the processes involved in assessing, documenting, and communicating student progress. The task is to predict at what point in your teaching it will be important to assess student progress toward learning goals. Organize your work into a chart supported by a report of 250-500 words: 1. Explore multiple assessment approaches aligned with the learning goals. Using a chart/graphic organizer, supported by a narrative report, design an assessment plan to monitor student progress toward the learning goal(s) you identified in the "Learning Goals" assignment. Your plan should include preassessments and postassessments, as well as formal, informal, performance, formative, and summative assessments. 2. The assessments should authentically measure student learning and may include performancebased tasks, paper-and-pencil tasks, or personal communication. 3. In the plan, include data analysis on the formative and summative assessment results you would use to help determine student progress during your instructional unit. 4. Include consideration of the contextual factors and data you discovered in Topic 1. 5. In an appendix, include artifacts, if possible, such as copies of assessments, prompts, and/or student directions and criteria for judging student performance (e.g., scoring rubrics, observation checklist, rating scales, item weights, test blueprint, answer key). Prepare the report according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required. This assignment uses a grading rubric. Instructors will be using the rubric to grade the assignment; therefore, students should review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the assignment criteria and expectations for successful completion of the assignment.
