POEM – 1
Capture- By Joe Varghese Started to capture both joy and sorrow, Inspired by moments vowed to let them Stay forever when my lenses shine And the flash overthrows the light, Started with Mr Cat and the pink flower They turned Mr and Mrs Universe For my photo shoot Parties took over with Unknown friends staring at lens, Around the world I went To find more frames to aim, War came over as an uninvited Model wearing a red gown, Wearing jewellery from the skin of dove As I focused more for a close up Found the little skulls that made her crown, Saw the fathers hand folded for his long lost child Lost in a blast in which she breathed her last, The explosions made me see the implosions in humanity, Saw the handsome little savage Whose taste buds blessed with sweetness of the air All this made her shining slippers, My lenses fell short to cover her wrath Hands trembled with clicks forgotten The shoot ended and time was up to pay her due, The due so simple a click away To make them see what I saw So they would rise for the freedom fight Not knowing she will get even the last one right, Laws are flaws let loose by the lace of life She went on with her payment as I need to survive , Back with a bang I pounced On the road back home But she followed me back home, Took up the phone to attend my call Just to let me know that My cousin died just like that, Tears captured the perfect frame While the little cam laid back For the professionals to do their job. *Corresponding Author: Joe Varghese

POEM – 2
A Love Letter To My Dead Body- By Joe Varghese To kill or to die It’s not just a question When it’s about survival, To make love And fall under the common To lay beneath The penetrated soul Sick with sand of desire The unknown sand Filled with the confused lust And the unknown love, Or to, Write down a history of emotions And fall under the uncanny To attain the perfect freedom In the long lost eternity, Man boggles to make his choice, As the snake eyes Under the gorgeous smiles Makes him realise He was naked all this time, Tears took away the Sorrows Smiles took away the Laughter Failures took away the Hope Experience took away the anger Realisation took away the love, Betrayals took away Companions promised To be with you Till the end of the line, Only hurt stays A constant reminder Of existence and a true friend, Lost in fear knowing that The bright day is just a fiction Created by my muse, Whispering And words flow and hands shake Even with the Worst talent for lettering My fist filled with conceits Thriving to write down All that’s lost as I stand naked, For some I lay But my feet feel’s the undead As they breathe out their lost fears Now I don’t fear of the day When the muse will ask me to write And my hands won’t shake Now my soul writes with Cells to carry down my voice, An illusion As they call for her Words to stop As her words are mere truth, *Corresponding Author: Joe Varghese

“To The Truthful Death, From The Shining Life” By Joe Varghese That calls the dead to close their eyes And the undead to open their eyes wide, All this ragging down As my blood flow With my emotions swept down By the constant tide Still the breath left To say goodbye.
III. POEM - 3 My Heavenly Muse- By Joe Varghese Oh thou heavenly muse Make me fall for the lady of love Make my heart pound with her deeds Don’t let death be my lover As she is the wisest of them all Whose embraces makes me feel That she is the only truth Truth that would make Me kill the roman fool And the crown to search for a new head When her eyes meets mine Fate is sealed for the fool When our voice grace the hallway The bell starts ringing When our lips meet He breathes his last Why kill a man? Her symphony his end note An inevitable err Unless the lady of love Makes me write a different end Incomplete though but yet much subtle Where the story ends with glorified love Like a rice in the rice When our eyes meet, he sees his lover When we walk down the lane He goes on his knees Her breath keeps me alive And when our souls embrace A happing ending takes place But death tempts me to be my mistress And then lover To make the fools story complete As her lips uttered She is my essence Understanding life as an imaginary illusion Confusing with everyday hallucination A mere pigment of my limitation Oh heavenly muse Let the fate decide their end As I am sick of life and death.
IV. POEM – 4 Hammered- By Joe Varghese Hammered down by each stroke As they see and say, But piercing round the clock As I see the blade sharper by day, *Corresponding Author: Joe Varghese

“To The Truthful Death, From The Shining Life” By Joe Varghese If my worthy be by Blue blood I fare much better than thou, If my worthy be by Skills of my hand I fare much better than thou, As my sweat and tears found one inseparable bond Hammer me more thou, As I value my life more than thy As hammer takes the beat, My art more refined it gets You see and say, The fly in the lantern box With Unbearable beauty of heat, Fly lost its old wings But with new coming down Along with a dragons tooth, Each day as my wings burnt Fell in love with my on life, Pain turned from foe to my teacher On the hottest day with the fierce fire I ate the fire and broke the box, With hunger driving for my on life Hunted became the hunter , Ate up all the fire around To breathe out on his foes, The ones whose fists made him fall From his dreams of an inexperienced reality, Whose eyes burned his wings “Knock , knock” the hammer called, Down by the archers hand Swordsmen cleansed their sword With my blood At first they shined but Melted down as they rest , Emptied flesh made wonders As the hurt was gone forever, Broke free at dusk As I believes that The Dawn is the same as the dusk And a new beginning, Will find its way both night and day Found the archer took his finger About which he boasted around, Spared his life to let go off his pride Worthy lives are hard to find Scarce like a drop ripped off from a stream Dirty streams bless with million drops, To inspire a million hearts that When you fall it’s all about Your perception as you still fly, Cause up is same as down When you look from the other side Knock , knock hammer me again, Let the drive calm down with intelligence And rage find patience, Cause one fine day The rule will be mine I rule not to rule but to prove That kings are not born in one day.

POEM - 5
The Greatest Monument Ever Build- By Joe Varghese Shovel by shovel was it made The greatest monument that ever raised its face, The love story mesmerising the eye sight Began when I met her at the age of eight, Parents rolled their eyes all over When she began to visit me now and then Our love letters written with an unfair handwriting And the gifts that she gave me are costlier to afford She took me to the white palaces With workers in white attires, Got married to her at the age of fifty Our wedding card printed with numbers and facts On the wedding day she took me away with her To the unseen land, Shovel by shovel was it made The greatest monument that ever raised its face, Which laid it’s base When my parents blessed with their only child Now the monument is complete, “My grave” As I became from him to it For the man standing in front of the coffin top Not realizing that the sides would change Cause once in front of the curtain was I Now behind I stay. “This work contains five poems that mostly deals with death and the concepts associated with it. The realization that death is the one thing that enlightens us to the existence as our life could be seen as a stimulated reality and death the only one who proves that we were alive all this time till she came.”
