eidre Lynn Lee was born on July 26, 1960 in Harvey, IL to Earlie Mae and the late Melvin Abbott. Deidre accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age under the pastorate of Reverend Napoleon Davis at Second Baptist Church of Harvey, IL. Deidre later joined St. Mark MBC Cathedral under the pastorate of Bishop William L. Jordan where she met and married her beloved, Ronnie L. Lee. Deidre graduated from Thornton Township High School in Harvey where she participated in many clubs and extracurricular activities. She continued her education at Columbia College in downtown Chicago. Deidre worked for Washington Cemetery, Playboy Magazine, Berglund Construction Company in Human Resources and at Roseland Hospital as Administrative Assistance to the Regional Director. Deidre and Ronnie’s love blossomed. It didn’t take long for them to know that they were meant to be together. They dedicated their heart to each other and were united in holy matrimony in August 1997. Ronnie and Dee bonded together ‘unto death do us part.’ Following the leading of the Lord, they began the ministry of Nehemiah Christian Center Ministries originally in the city of Robbins IL in February of 2001.

Deidre was a loving wife and mother who balanced motherhood and ministry with near perfection. Deidre was devoted to her family and gave her life to rearing her two daughters: and embracing her relationship with her two
Deidre served faithfully as the First Lady of Nehemiah Christian Center Ministries. The church she helped to build from its inception. Deidre served in various roles lending her many talents in service to the Lord, as a member of the Praise Team, Gospel Choir, Administrator and serving as Pastor of Women’s NLuv Ministry. Deidre served along with her husband and together with the help of the Lord to build a ministry that is impacting the community. Deidre was well loved and respected within the ministry. She was known for her heartwarming smile and for being someone who was genuine and easy to talk to.
Deidre was licensed to preach the gospel in August 2006 and was ordained as a minister of the gospel in September 2010. With great joy Deidre received her Church Planter Training Certificate of Completion in June 2000 from the North American Mission Board. Deidre endeavored to understand and teach God’s word effectively and accurately. She was a great teacher and preacher. Deidre served as the Leading Lady in the State of Illinois alongside Bishop Ronnie L. Lee who in, August 2014, was consecrated and appointed as Illinois State Bishop of the New Century Fellowship of Churches by Bishop Larry D. Trotter who served as Episcopal Prelate. Deidre served as the Leading Lady of Impact Covenant Fellowship of Illinois along with her husband who served as Episcopal Prelate. In each of these roles Deidre was seen as a role model for women who were a part of these various fellowships. Deidre fought a good fight of faith persevering through countless medical challenges. Through her many battles with sickness Deidre never complained, never lost her smile or her faith. Deidre made her transition into the arms of paradise on Friday, October 2, 2020 surrounded by loving family. Deidre was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Abbott. Deidre leaves to cherish her memory, her dear mother; Earlie Mae Abbott, a devoted husband, Bishop Ronnie L. Lee; her beloved daughters, Nikeela Kioca Oliver, Shekinah Lynn Lee, Meghan Faith Payton, Melanie Joy Lee; one Godson Michael King; one grandson; Tarharka, Jr, one granddaughter; Maleah, one sister: Mavis Abbott, three sisters in laws Sylvia Tidwell, Doris Johnson (Kenny) and Patricia Lee Smith; two brother in laws; Earl Lee, Jr and Eugene Matthews (Jill); a beloved mother-in-law, Hannah M. Lee and a beloved host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Deidre I thank the Lord for allowing meet and marry you. We met as youngsters with a few rough edges but with a lot of help from the Lord we grew and became a family together. I knew you were special from the first time I laid eyes on your beautiful smile. Our bond was strong enough to weather every storm. You loved me unconditionally and all you wanted was my love and it was a joy learning to share it with you. There will never be another Deidre Lynn. Everything I am is a result of you blessing me with your unique love, patience and encouragement. I will always honor what you’ve meant to me. You hold an eternal place in my heart! Love, Ronnie
