Johnny Lloyd Jr. the 2nd of twelve children was born on Thursday, May 29, 1947 to the late Johnny Sr. and Georgia Lloyd in Tunica, Mississippi, who preceded him in the death. Johnny along with his parents and two siblings migrated from Mississippi to Chicago in search of more opportunities and a better life. Johnny was educated at DuSable H.S. along with a number of his siblings and lifetime friends. Johnny learned at an early age to work hard and always provide for his family. His hardworking work ethics were put to great use as a Machine Press Operator in the Steel Mills of Chicago, where he retired more than twenty years ago. After retiring Johnny simply couldn’t sit idle, therefore he went to school and obtained his CDL, which allowed him the opportunity to drive all over the US, after not wanting to be away from his family for long time spans, he then decided to drive for UBER and work as an Armed Security Guard. Johnny loved spending time with family and friends from the old neighbourhood, which is how he met and married his High School love and mother of his sons, Benita Faye Lloyd, whom he was married and faithful to until her death in 2007. Johnny later joined and faithfully attended Greater Tabernacle M.B. under the leadership of Reverend Jeanie Dunn, when his health allowed. Johnny biologically fathered three sons, Paul, Vincent and Bryant Lloyd, however through love, support and a Blessing he was a supportive father figure to three additional children Sherise, Milo and Alvin. Johnny later met and fell in love with his Fiancée Sandra Borum whom he shared a long loving and caring relationship until his time of death. Johnny was a kind and caring man, who loved his family and friends to a fault, always willing to do his part, even in sickness. A good day for Johnny always included a cookout with tons of food, family, music, Bid Whilst, horseshoes, laughter, family and friends, when he wasn’t working or Bowling (which he loved as well). Johnny was a clean no none sense Man, “who would not hesitate to tell you where to Go and how fast to get there”, when you got on his nerves. Johnny passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 8:47 a.m. at which time he was called from labor to reward. Johnny will be terribly missed by everyone who knew him, but especially his family, friends and Bowling Buddies. Johnny leaves to cherish his memories, his loving Fiancée Sandra Borum, his six children Paul, Vincent (Qiana), Bryant (Rochelle) , Sherise, Milo (Sharonda) and Alvin. Eleven siblings Eugene (Jaqueline), Rubystene (Oren), Darlene, Lavon (James), Gregory, Gayle, Bobby, Carolyn, Randy (Sandra), Sheila and Bruce. Nineteen Grandchildren Darius, Paula, Patrice, Destiny, Damarion, Armonie, Ebony, Zarea, Zadia, Zhane, Nicolas, Bryanna, Shaederra, Mysean, Jada, Milo Jr , Shemaria, Kenneth and Alvin Jr along with a host of great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
“I’m Free” Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free, I’m following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard his call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way,

A life well lived is a precious gift, of hope and strength and grace, from someone who has made our world a brighter, better place. It’s filled with moments, sweet and sad with smiles and sometimes tears, with friendships formed and good times shared, And laughter through the years. A life well lived is a legacy, of joy and pride and pleasure, a living, lasting memory our grateful hearts will treasure.
