Leonia Brimmer was born Wednesday, November 26, 1941 in Merigold, Mississippi to the late Mr. Willie & Alice Phillips. On Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 3:00am Mrs. B heard God’s whisper and was granted entrance into paradise. Awaiting her arrival was her husband, parents, brothers; John and Willie Jr, children; Bonnie, Ricky and Jermaine, great grandson; Cecil and her sister in laws; Annette and Nettie. At the age of 15 Leonia and her family relocated to Chicago, IL. She was united in Holy matrimony to James Brimmer at 16 years old and from the union twelve children were born until death parted them. Leonia accepted Christ as her personal savior and went under the leadership of Pastor Roger Davis. Leonia received her education in Mississippi. She was a stern parent to her children and they were all raised in church. Leonia worked as a homemaker taking care of her parents. She was affectionately loved by many seniors ar 4218 and 740. Everyone wanted her as their homemaker so she would divide her time among them all. They loved her familyv like their own. Mrs. B birthed her children but she was a mother to all. Her legacy will continue and her life’s journey will forever be cherished by her children. Terry (Jerry) , Willie, Deborah, John, Michael, Tammy (Otis), Angelo (Jennifer), Roberick, Shawana (Terry), Wrentles and Deborah. Her grandchildren: Charnetta, Felicia, Tawada, Jerry, Alicia, Terry, Kenisha, Paradise Monique, Otis, Jovan, Angelo, Delmeako, Jermaine, Derrick, Velouria, Jarvis, Charmaine, DeAngelo, Derrick, Tambrasha, Jamari, Kelvon, Marquis, Jaleel, Mhikeyera, Miracle, Chimeako, Terriniko, Olivia, and Seven. A sister in law Nelly; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special daughter, TaShawn; and specical friends Dorothy and Deloris.
