Mary Elizabeth Tye Lesley was born to Buster Brown Tye and Lucille Betts on May 29, 1949 in Booneville, Mississippi. She went home to be with the Lord Wednesday September 9, 2020 at Silver Cross Hospital. Mother Mary E. Lesley lived her life allowing the Lord to lead her in every way possible. She stood for righteousness and The Word of God. Mary E. Lesley graduated High School from Wick Anderson from Booneville, MS.

Mother Mary E Lesley retired from Molex Incorporate where she worked for decades. Later she would become a bus monitor for Grand Prairie Transit. Mother Mary Lesley was a homemaker her entire life until her health started to decline. Raising her children, some grandchildren and other children as well. Cooking, cleaning mother was always busy. She became Mother Dear in every truth of the word. Always making sure everyone had whatever they needed mentally, physically and spiritually. Mary Elizabeth became 1 flesh with Oliver L. Lesley where they met at school in Booneville, MS. She was preceded in death by her loving parents the Late Buster Brown Tye and Lucille Betts, 2 sons Sedric L. Lesley, Willard D. Lesley, brother William Tye, sister Martha Spight and grandson Deonte Lesley. Mary Elizabeth Lesley leaves to cherish memories, her husband of 53 years Mr. Oliver Leslley of Lockport, IL; 4 sons Willard Lesley, Wesley O. Lesley, Myron T. Lesley of Lockport, IL and Deric McGee of Toledo, Ohio; 3 daughters Mirand McGee of Toledo, Ohio, Myra J. Lesley of Corinthins and Becky P’lavec of Joliet, IL. Special addition daughters Inez Heights, Tia Reese, Marilyn and Antoinette Walker. 2 brothers William (Doris) Tye, of Rienzl, MS, Betty (Edward) Davis of Baldwin, MS, Darsene (Thomas) Watts of Toledo, OH, Tarent (Glenda) Tye of Booneville, Francile Williams of Booneville, MS and Marviline (Clyde) of Memphis,TN. God Daughter Regina Bew, godsister Joyce McCullough and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren. A host of Special nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Tributes

To my Sister and friend, I’m going to really miss you and your smiling face. The good times God allowed us to have. I will always cherish your memories and keep them close to my heart. Gone but never forgotten. -Love always your sister Darsene Watts.

Thank you with love. Whether you pushed me or pulled me and/or disciplined me, encouraged me, you stayed by my side physically or by phone. You are and always will be a part of my growth. I thank you for being extended mother when I needed you most.
