Sharon Denise Fletcher was born on October 18, 1957 to Albert Glover Sr. and Nadine Rose Beard in Chicago, IL. Sharon departed this life on Wednesday, July 29, 2020. As a child, Sharon attended Emerson Elementary School, graduated from Crane High School in 1974 and attended business college in Chicago where she majored in accounting. Sharon was employed with CMV Sharpen Finish for over 30 years and was recently employed at Nucor Tubular, Inc. where she enjoyed 3+ years until her health failed. Sharon accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in April 1995 and became a devoted and faithful member of West Pullman Church under the leadership of Pastor Alfreddie Taylor. She served as a youth Sunday School teacher, church secretary, choir member, kitchen staff and always willing to help wherever needed. Sharon was on staff for Thomas W. Murphy for both of his successful Aldermanic and Cook County Circuit Court campaigns, while simultaneously serving as PTA Treasurer for Carroll Elementary School. Sharon especially enjoyed spending time with her nieces Tammy & Tina and nephew Tamous Willis, who were like her own children. Sharon married the love of her life, Lonell Fletcher Jr. on July 6, 1988 and was a loving and devoted wife. From this union, one son was born, Lonell Fletcher, Ill “Boomer” who was Sharon’s pride and joy. In her spare time Sharon enjoyed traveling, shopping, arts & crafts, cooking and baking. She could make the best caramel cakes and cookies because she baked with love. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Nadine Glover, her in-laws Lonell Sr. & Doris Fletcher, two brothers Albert Glover, Jr. and Charles Glover. Sharon leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Lonell, her son Lonell III, one sister Elaine (Chuck) Whitby, two brothers Michael Glover, Keith Glover, two brothers in-law Durae (Angela) Fletcher, Byron (Dawanda) Fletcher and one sister in law Tanya (Jamie) Johnson. Special Friends; Lynette Gosberry, her PTA Sisters, West Pullman Church family and her Godchildren Lazarick and LaTorrance. Very Dear to Her; Her “everyday” cousin Jacqueline Adkinson, a special sister-in-law Karen Glover, her “claimed” brother and sister in-law Skip & Barbara Barrett, her Floridian cousins Fred & Kathy Sullivan, her “what’s up!” cousin Maurice Sullivan, her friend since school days Mary Kalu and her life-long “friend to the wall” Brenda Wilkinson. Who would disagree..? Fond of all her nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and anyone she met that had a true heart. A sincere love of God. A genuinely classy lady. A luminous love of life. That was Sharon.
