he 'Design' auction on June 30th features a wide range of furniture, lights, glass and ceramics.**
There are some very special treasures, especially among the lighting objects. The ceiling light from the Seurahuone Hotel in Savonlinna, Finland - a masterpiece of light art by Paavo Tynell - is the absolute star lot of this auction. Fragile brass leaves and a perforated body create interesting shadows, which can change the atmosphere of any room (EUR 60,000 - 80,000). Further highlights of the international lighting design are the two 'Petit Saturne' wall lights (EUR 8,000 - 10,000) and the 'Antony' table light (EUR 7,000 - 8,000) by Serge Mouille. The lights designed in the 1950s have long since taken their place among the classics of French design. See more at www.quittenbaum.de.
