LACING TECHNIQUE
Lock Lace & Knot is the best method to help reduce heel slippage by creating a secure tight hold on the foot.
fig.1 Lace through toe cap eyelet, to avoid metal cages catching on the first line of shoe lace.
fig.6 Secure lock knot, to prevent laces coming undone. Tie a simple knot at the start
fig.3 The shoe is laced until the lace ends emerge through the second set of eyelets from the top.
fig.7 Move the knot position to the outside of the shoes, this will help to keep the lace away from the chain. Then cross the two loops over one another. Lets call the loop, ‘Bunny ears’. (Brown bunny ear & Green bunny ear)
fig.2 Criss-cross lacing offers the most comfort. The crossover of the lace sits on the tongue of the shoethus aren't pressed against the foot.
fig.8 Starting at the front, begin to loop the brown coloured ‘bunny ear’ through the centre hole.
fig.4 The lace ends run straight up and are fed into the top eyelets
fig.9 At the same time, in the opposite direction, loop the green coloured ‘bunny ear’ through the centre hole.
fig.5 Lace ends should be crossed over, then each tip is fed under the vertical section of the opposite side.
fig.10 Once both ear tips are through the centre hole, pull each tip to tighten the knot.

Simple and effective techniques to care for your shoes. 1. It is important to start with a clean surface, depend on the severity, if heavy covered in mud, use water and brush to remove and allow leather to dry out naturally before the next step. If light dirt and inevitable scuff marks, use a medium to soft bristled brush to wipe away the dust. Starting lightly and then increasing the pressure if necessary but try not to brush too vigorously as this can cause surface damage. 2. With a cotton cloth, damp one side with water, wrap (with damp side facing out) around your index and middle finger and dip into the polish. Try to avoid applying splodges, instead it is better to build up the layers slowly, by applying the polish in a circular motion. This will nourish the leather and help prevent it from cracking. 3. Take approximately 10 minutes, working several layers of polish in to the leather, then allow around 10mins for leather to absorb. To finish, use the dry half of the cloth to rub down the shoe. After cleaning or wearing, always remember to stuff the shoes with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain leather durability.
