Imran Tilde, born in 1994, is an artist dedicated to telling compelling human stories, with a particular focus on on the Hausa people of Northern Nigeria. His love for sketching,employing basic tools like pen and pencil, allows him to effortlessly transform abstract concepts intodrawings onvarious surfaces. When I was little, the corridor or ‘Zaure’ was my least favorite part of the house. It was long and dark. The light switch, I had to walk a bit in the dark. The light used to flicker, and every time I passed, it felt like a monster was there with me. So, each time I decided to pass through the ‘Zaure’ I had to prepare to face my fear. This sculpture is about confronting my fears (the illusionary monsters I create.).
