This was a project into a polder park landscape around an old broadcasting station. In this project, I mainly looked into the detailing of the design to manage the quality, where the design of the landscape was a big part. For this I mainly looked up references and afterwards I also worked on a Photoshop of the bunker in the park.

Furthermore, in this project I also looked for a solution to add parking, without losing the landscape quality, for this I also made a cross section.

So with this project I was mainly concerned with the smaller scale with an eye to the details for the intended quality and I learned more about the polder landscape.

An eye for the details was during the whole minor course a more challenging thing for me. I mainly learned about making concepts and therefore we also looked at references and maked variants and plans, but during the minor and my internship(s) I learned to look better at designing.

This is a project for a new residential area in Maarssen-Dorp. The vision for the area has been established by Bureau Nieuwe Gracht, in this phase they are working on the details. I had been asked to incorporate the landscape into the plan and to make a distinction between the dry river ridge landscape and the wet peat landscape.

For this I consulted a lot of reference images and made sketches for the area based on these. Attached to this are a number of building blocks and principles of houses and apartments. Then I worked this out a little further, also to scale in, for example, cross-sections.

This project taught me to sketch better by hand and to focus more on the design, which choices you make in the meantime and it also taught me a lot about transfering the landscape structure in a neighborhood. Cross sections - variants
