Daily am thinking about, what topic we can write today? Suddenly i decided to write about the tech giant “Google”. “Google in Ten Years” the topic itself says about the content. Google Inc is an American Multinational company specialized in internet related services and products like Cloud computing, sof tware and online advertising technologies. Larry page and Sergey Brin who met at Stanford University in 1995, f ounded this excellent search engine in the year 1998. In 1996, they f ounded a search engine named “BackRub” which used links to determine the importance of each web page. Later in 1998, Page and Brin set up their f irst data center at page’s dorm. T hen decided to start up a company and started to look f or the investors who could encourage them. Andy Bechtolsheim, one of the f ounders of Sun Micro-systems, invested the f irst amount of $100,000 in the company af ter watching the demo of their search technology. T his amount was raised over $1 Million by both Larry and Brin. T hus, the Company Google Inc was established on the same year 1998 in a f riend’s garage,Calif ornia. Page and Brin hired their f irst employee, Craig silvertein, who later became the Google’s Director of Technology. Following the History of Google, let’s see f ew of the f uture innovations of Google that are going to change the world.T he company spends lot of its time and money on newest innovations f rom space elevators to robots and thus f ew among them f ollows below: Google’s Home Automation: Google used its I/O interf ace to develop a sof tware f ramework f or Android users called Android@home that allows the programmer to interact with the various connected applications such as light bulbs, thermostats, washing machines and more. Android@Home uses an open wireless protocol, allowing the OS to connect with any devices that are powered with electricity. At present, Google has previewed a new technology called Project Tungsten that combines the Music Beta service of Google with tablets and smartphones to control specif ic music systems at home. Google is trying to develop a f ull-f ledged Robot which may perf orm all types of mundane tasks around your home or of f ice right f rom preparing and serving cof f ees, cleaning, and other tasks to make humans more comf ortable while working remotely. For this, Google has initiated with a secret division of lab called Google X, which has its of f ice located nearby the Corporate’s Headquarters Googleplex in Mountain View, Calif ornia. T his is the area where most of the f uture innovations are being developed and one among them is Robots. It is an amazing lab f or f uture, where your ref rigerator can connect to the internet and order f or its own groceries when they run low. Also, your dinner plate can post to your f avorite social media what you are eating at that moment and so on. Project Loon Google’s Project Loon is a new venture that tackles both the rural and urban areas who are in dire need of internet access. T his is achieved by connecting the large networks through air balloons which are straddled on the Earth’s Stratosphere. T his project’s prototype is already been a success which was released in June 2013 on the outskirts of New Z ealand travelling 20Km all the way around. T his balloon would be guided by the capable sof tware algorithms, and the natural wind may bounce the signals to the antennas at the consumer’s homes. T his balloon is designed with polyethylene plastic capable of withstanding high pressure altitudes and powered by solar panels. Single balloon can cover an area of 40 Km delivering internet speeds comparable to 3G networks. Google Glass: T his is a wearable computing project which is more or less similar to your mobile phone. It is similar to your reading glass in shape and size, whereas has f eatures which is f ar more imaginable. It comes with adjustable notepads and f rame to f it all f aces. It also has additional f eatures that your mobile phone has, like 5MP camera, WI-FI, Bluetooth etc. It can record videos and take pictures and post to it to your f avorite social networking sites. Storage capacity is total of 16 GB in which 12 GB of usable memory has been synced with Google Cloud storage. At present, it is made available only to f ew lucky developers who are analyzing it. Currently only 2000 glass are available in the world and sold at a rate of $1500 on an initial basis. In the beginning of 2014, it has been planned to be released worldwide and the price tag will be set low according to its demand. T his is really amazing thing which has stunned many people around the world. T his type of driver-less cars will be very usef ul f or blind people who can operate the car just through the buttons provided in the cars, says Google. Despite the secretive lab, and mysterious f lair, you have to def initely accept that Google is accomplishing their share of social responsibilities diligently and swif tly.
