Dear BGCM friends,

i would like to welcome you to our 44th annual steak n’ Burger dinner! steak n’ Burger has been bringing our Club members and supporters, like you, together to share a meal for more than four decades. i encourage you to share your insight and listen to the many success stories from our many Club members of how the Boys & Girls Club has impacted their lives. of course all of these stories would not be possible if it were not for the wonderful staff and volunteers who work hard to make a difference in the lives of Memphis kids.

every day more than 1,000 kids between the ages of 6-18 count on our Clubs to provide an after-school meal, a caring mentor and computers to help with homework, intramural sports, art classes and a safe and positive place to achieve their full potential. in addition, our Juice plus+ technical training Center provides our young adults ages 16-21 with career skills and training to be placed in local jobs and higher education.

Most importantly, all of these wonderful programs would not be possible if it were not for friends and supporters like you. you are the difference in the lives of our Club members. We sincerely thank you for all that you do for our kids. again, thank you for joining us. We hope you enjoy the evening and getting to know our kids just as much as they enjoy getting to know you!

Dear steak n’ Burger guests, on behalf of the staff, volunteers and most importantly the kids of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis, we thank you for your support. your attendance tonight has allowed kids from all of our clubs attend this event. the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis make a difference in this community and has a positive impact on all of the kids served. i hope you take some time to meet and talk with some of the Club members at your table and ask them what the Club means to them. the Boys and Girls Clubs serve more than 3,000 members and events like tonight allow the Clubs to carry out theirmissiontoenableallyoungpeople,especiallythosewhoneedusmost,toreachtheirfullpotentialascaring,productive,responsible citizens. High School: Northside high school activities: she is on the cheerleading, track, and drill team, volunteers at the kids Café program, and is a member of keystone and sMart Girls at the club.

Club: samelson future Plans: John plans to attend the university of Memphis and study architecture. his goal is to start his own construction company in California.

Grade: senior High School: kingsbury high school activities: he is an honor roll student and has received the Citizenship award. he was made employee of the month by sonic.
