Tuesday, May 13 Depart New Brunswick Depart from Greater Moncton International Airport this afternoon and change planes at Toronto Pearson International Airport for the transatlantic flight. Wednesday, May 14 Galilee Area Upon late morning arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, you will be met by your driver and guide. Drive along the Mediterranean Coast to see the magnificent harbor, theatre, and aqueduct of Caesarea Maritima, constructed during the reign of Herod. It was here that Peter explained the way of salvation to Cornelius. Continue to Mount Carmel, where Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal. Dinner and overnight at the Restal Hotel Tiberias. Thursday, May 15 Sea of Galilee After breakfast, see the “Jesus Boat,” found buried under an exposed section of the lakebed during a drought in 1986 and now displayed at Yigal Museum at Kibbutz Nof Ginosar. From here, depart on a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, with time for meditation on the lake. Disembark at Capernaum, the town used as a base by Christ during his ministry. See the remains of the fourth-century synagogue and the nearby house of St. Peter. Ascend the Mt. of Beatitudes, and listen to Jesus’ teachings. Walk down the hill to Tabgha to visit the Church of the Loaves and Fishes and the Church of St. Peter’s Primacy at the northwestern shore of the lake, an area intense with Christian memories. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Restal Tiberias. Friday, May 16 Nazareth / Cana Drive to Yardenit, the traditional baptismal site located where the Sea of Galilee runs into the Jordan River. Continue to Nazareth to visit the Church of the Annunciation. Stop at Cana, where Jesus turned water into wine, with opportunity for a marriage renewal service. Travel to Megiddo, the city that dominated this strategic trade route from Egypt to Mesopotamia. Explore its extensive excavations, including Ahab’s stables, a grain silo, and an ancient underground water system. Go up to the Holy City of Jerusalem for dinner and overnight at the Ritz Hotel or Sisters of Zion Convent. Saturday, May 17 Dead Sea Area Depart Jerusalem this morning, stopping at Jericho to visit the tel of this oldest city, and view the traditional mountain of Jesus' temptation. Continue through the Judean desert to Qumran. View Cave # 4, which contained the greatest quantity of Dead Sea scrolls. Enjoy a swim in the Dead
Sea, where it almost impossible to sink, because of the high salt density! Drive along the Dead Sea to Masada. Take the cable car to the top, visiting Herod’s mountain bunker and the last stronghold of the Jewish revolt against Rome (66-73 AD). Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Jerusalem. Sunday, May 18 Jerusalem / Bethlehem Start the day with an orientation to Jerusalem from the Mt. of Olives. Visit the Chapel of the Ascension and the Monastery of Pater Noster, where you can see the Lord’s Prayer inscribed in 100 languages. Follow the traditional Palm Sunday route to the church known as Dominus Flevit (“the Lord weeps”). After viewing the Golden Gate, walk downhill to Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations (Basilica of the Agony). The Garden has some of the world’s oldest olive trees, three of which have been scientifically dated as over 2000 years old, making them witnesses to the anguish and arrest of Jesus. Drive to Mt. Zion to see the Coenaculum (Upper Room), believed to be the site of the Last Supper. See the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu and the site of Caiaphas’ house. Continue to Beit Sahour to see the Shepherds’ Fields before continuing to Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity, built over the site believed to be the place of Jesus’ birth. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. Monday, May 19 Jerusalem After breakfast enter the Old City and ascend to the Dome of the Rock. Visit St. Anne’s Church, known for its spectacular acoustics. See the Pool of Bethesda where Jesus cured the man who had infirmities for 30 years. Walk along the Via Dolorosa, stopping at the Convent of the Sisters of Zion and ending at the Church of Holy Sepulcher. Walk to the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest site. Drive to the New City, passing by the Knesset, to visit the Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum, where many of the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed. At the end of the day, share Communion at the Garden Tomb. A special Farewell Banquet is offered at the Hotel tonight, featuring the best of Middle Eastern cuisine. Tuesday, May 20 Return to New Brunswick After breakfast, transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for an afternoon flight to Toronto, continuing to Moncton. Shalom/Salaam.
Dr. Wilbur Williams, is a professor of Old Testament and archaeology at Indiana Wesleyan University. He has taught over 17,000 students during his career and has been awarded “Professor of the Year” by the student body eight times. As a sacrificial servant, he has accepted a minimal salary ($1) for teaching for over 17 years. Dr. Williams has led over 153 tours to the Holy Land. In addition, he worked on archaeological excavations for 40 years at Arad, Carthage, Aphek, Jerusalem, Lachish, Jezreel, Megiddo and Hazor. As a skilled dramatist, he brings Old Testament characters to life by role-playing Abraham, Moses, King David or the Prophet Samuel. As Managing Editor of Higley Press, he published 13 yearly volumes of Sunday School Commentaries. He wrote a commentary of Genesis, a book on the 10 Commandments, Finding Your Maximum Happiness, and a book of religious poetry, From Sand to Glass.

Tour Features and Conditions Please read all Tour Features and Conditions carefully. Payment of tour deposit constitutes acceptance of these conditions. Air Transportation: Air transportation is restricted to the services of any IATA carrier, in economy class based on nonrefundable fare. Travelers are responsible to provide their names as they appear in their passport. Ticketing will be made 30-45 days prior to departure, after which there will be a charge for name corrections. Tour price includes current airline taxes and fuel surcharges, which are subject to change until ticketed. Tour participants are responsible for any increase in airline taxes or fuel surcharges imposed by the airline. Seat Assignments: Group seats are available approximately 30 days prior to departure and are assigned at the airline’s discretion. Please advise your travel consultant of any special seating needs due to health or mobility. Accommodations: Based on two or more persons sharing a room in accommodations listed in itinerary, or similar. Single rooms are subject to availability at an additional charge. If a passenger cannot supply a roommate, the passenger is responsible for the additional charge. Meals: In-flight meals and snacks are served according to airline policy. Breakfast and dinner will be provided daily. Transfers and Baggage: Transfers between airports and hotels upon arrival and departure are included in the tour price, including handling of one medium-sized suitcase per person, not exceeding 62 dimensional inches (length plus width plus height) or weighing more than a maximum of 50 pounds. Due to limited luggage storage space on motor coaches, it is important that each person bring only ONE piece of checked baggage. In addition, a flight bag or overnight case may be taken, which must be handled by the passenger at all times. Baggage allowance is subject to change according to airline policy. Sightseeing and Entrance Fees: Are included as indicated in itinerary, using private motor coach or other conveyance, with local guides where necessary. Tips and Taxes: Service charges and taxes on accommodations, and tips to guides, drivers, and hotel staff are included. Tips for personal services are not included. Not Included: Lunches and lunch tips, beverages with dinners, passport fee, travel protection insurance, checked baggage fees, and expenses of a purely personal nature are not included. Transportation from your home to departure city and return is not included. Deposit and Payment: Reservations can be secured with a deposit payment of $500 per person. You will be invoiced for final payment, which is due March 14, 2014. MTS Cancellation Conditions: The cancellation conditions outlined below apply to all cancellations and are per person. Should circumstances require that the passenger cancel, written notice of cancellation must be received by MTS TRAVEL a minimum of 100 days prior to departure to secure any refund of deposit funds. From date of deposit to and including February 2, 2014: $100 per person service fee applies From February 3 to and including March 14, 2014: Full deposit ($500 per person) plus any unrecoverable fees apply After March 14, 2014: No refund Cancellation policies apply when cancellation occurs for any reason. There is no refund for any unused services or portion of the tour package.

If you purchase the protection plan within 21 days of your deposit, any restriction on pre-existing conditions is waived. If protection plan is purchased after 21 days, all coverage is subject to exclusion of pre-existing conditions. Certain conditions, exclusions and limitations apply as set out in the Evidence of Coverage and Confirmation of Coverage, which you will receive upon receipt of deposit. You will have ten days to review coverage and cancel your policy. No inoculations are required, but please check with your physician for their recommendation. Rates & Fares Information: Rates are based on a minimum of 20 persons traveling together. Fewer tour participants will result in a price increase. The quoted tour price is based on the current rate of exchange. Fluctuation in the foreign exchange rate can result in price increase. Deviations: Any individual making a change in travel arrangements apart from this group program will be charged a service fee of $100 per person, plus any additional air or land costs incurred. If you choose to make your own travel arrangements (not through MTS TRAVEL), we are not responsible for any charges or cancellation fees you may incur at any time.
