Many of the delivery apps offer a variety of Asian restaurant options. However, the restaurants lack features such as order customization, live delivery tracking, order discounts & good customer service. In addition, with endless options available, it leaves very little room for customer loyalty and personalized service with their choice of restaurant.
Project Statement
Design a delivery app for Haiku with a wide range of Japanese dishes which allows flexible customization, live delivery tracking, rewards & discounts and quick customer service.

User Interviews
I reached out to a couple of potential users to understand the challenges they face while using a delivery app. I also wanted a better understanding on how people manage meal planning as a part of their busy schedule.
Sample interview questions :
- What is your typical day like? What do you do?
- How often do you eat out/ How often do you order food? why?
- Do you plan your meals a night before or do you decide on the go?
- Do you prefer Asian cuisine over other cuisines? If yes, why is that?
- How often do you order Sushi at an Asian restaurant?
- Do you have a favourite food delivery app you use often?
- What challenges do you face while ordering from a restaurant?
- Is there a specific feature you like when ordering from an app? why?
- Do you prefer to customize your food? If yes, why and how often do you do it?
- What hassles do you face while ordering food online?
- In your opinion, how can an app make food delivery more convenient?

Mood board
The theme follows a seamless blend of Art deco and Brutalism.
Interior decoration components such as brass furniture and lighting fixtures, tile flooring, and marble were included from the art deco style, and the materiality of the surfaces were given an exposed finish, generating features of brutalism. It has a unique fusion because of the contrasted interior styles.
With marble counter tops, the bar counter is composed of wood veneer tambour. The space’s elegant aspect is enhanced by the brass furniture with velvet upholstery. Wall mounted lights and hanging pendant lights are utilised as lighting fixtures. Throughout the area, the walls are bare polished concrete.
The second half of the area is divided into table and booth seats by a brass partition. The area is brought to life with patterned tile flooring. Monstera plants are used to separate the booth seating. The area is lit by curved pendant lighting and hanging lights.

House on wheels
Location: Flexible Year: 2020
Today, one of the simplest solutions to fight climate change is to design smaller and adaptive spaces.
On wheels explores the design of a tiny house on wheels where living minimal is the main idea.
This lifestyle appeals to those who value space and funtionality. In a restricted footprint, the connection between space and function is apparent.
These units can also assist in the provision of economical, transitional housing for those who have experienced a lack of shelter.
Category: Housing
The project aims at creating an adaptable space, formulating a balance between outdoor and indoor experiences.
The spaces consist of tall panoramic openings not only amplifies the living experience in a 255 sft footprint but also establishes a connection with the outdoors within the comforts and security of a home.
Sustainable and space-saving elements such as a compost toilet, bed storage, and a pocket door have been incorporated into the design to enhance the experience of living large in a tiny home.

The key to maximising the potential of a tiny living area is to use space-saving and contemporary design ideas.
A pocket door is a sliding door that, when fully open, disappears into a compartment in the adjacent wall. Pocket doors are used for architectural effect, or when there is no room for the swing of a hinged door.
In a tiny space, a sliding door solution minimizes the demand for door space. in front of or next to the entry point.
In a tiny living space, storage is restricted, therefore finding alternatives like under the bed storage cabinets provides the need for that extra space.
Additional space ideas include under the stairs storage, concealed storage, modular furniture, high shelving, and fold down beds,
The most popular choice for tiny house toilet systems is the composting toilet. These types of toilets allow tiny house homeowners to naturally break down their waste through decomposition.
Compost toilets are an environmentally beneficial and modern alternative for a living area that does not require water for flushing, thereby saving a significant quantity of water.
