The

COLOR WHEEL

Colors that Flow

Lipstick

Monochromatic makeup may sound unexciting at first, but if it's done right, it can make you rethink your stance. Try not to be too matchy matchy with the colors. For instance, if you're wearing a red dress, don't try to match the lipstick to your dress.Using different tones, shades, and tints of a certain color will make the look more interesting and less dated. Monochromatic make up is an easy way to create a healthy, youthful flush on anyone.

HARMONY Color Scheme Analogous (or Adjacent) colors are created by using three (or more) colors that are next to each (sideby side colors) on the color wheel. Pick any 3 colors side by side on the color wheel

Color Scheme

Complementary color schemes are created by combining colors from opposite sides of the color wheel. They bring out each other, they make a visual contrast, thus both colors appear stronger against each other.

Complementary Choose colors opposite from one another on the color wheel Try a tint or shade of green on your eyes the next time you wear orange or coral. A navy liner will also complement yellow or orange .

RED

Primary colors are known as basic colors because they cannot be created by mixing other hues. Since humans are trichromatic, the primary colors yellow, red, and blue are fundamental to human vision. Primary colors are the building blocks of all other colors.

Makeup Ideas When Wearing Primary Colors?

RED Red is a powerful color. Wearing red makes a statement. Sometimes it's best do go with a simple makeup application when you're wearing red, if you want to keep the look classy. Use neutral tones on the eyes. If you op for cool shades (which can create a mod look), be careful not to over do it. Simple eye makeup with an eyeliner flick is always classic. You can wear a nude lip or choose a tint or shade of red that compliments the outfit from a monochromatic color wheel. Just don't go with the same exact colors. We see Hollywood celebrities doing this all the time by going matchy matchy with the lip color and outfit. This cancels out the effect you are trying to create by wearing red in the first place. You can also op for a color in the orange family which is next to red on the color wheel. This will give a sense of harmony to the look. Have fun and try something new the next time your wear red. Keep it interesting!

Neutral Colors white Neutral colors are the most universal colors makeup artists use for everyday on everyone. Neutral colors are classy, sophisticated, and extremely wearable. They’re commonly worn on their own, or combined with brighter accent colors–they can easily be matched with every color. Neutral colors are affected by the colors that surround them . When in doubt, using neutral shades of shadows or lip colors are the safest way to apply makeup. Black is the strongest of the neutral colors. It’s commonly associated with power, elegance, and formality. Black is a versatile color to wear. When applying makeup, you can either play up the eyes and apply neutral colors on the lips, or do just the opposite by wearing less on the eyes and going for a bold strong lip. White is at the opposite end of the spectrum from black, but like black, it can work well with just about any other color. You can choose to apply neutral colors on the eyes with a strong pop of color on the lips, or go with a bolder eye shadow technique and a soft lip color. You can also be creative when wearing white by adding other pops of color such as a colored liner. Brown is associated with the earth, wood, and stone. It’s a completely natural color and a warm neutral. It can also be considered dull. It is a very conservative color. Try going out of the box by wearing a navy shadow close to the lashes or blue liner to introduce an additional harmonizing color when wearing brown or beige. Beige is somewhat unique in the color spectrum, as it can take on cool or warm tones depending on the colors surrounding it. It has the warmth of brown and the coolness of white, and, like brown, it is sometimes seen as dull. You can wear a monochromatic neutral makeup look when wearing beige by using a variety of light and dark tints and shades of the same color. A bold lipstick will give this look a pop. If you want a more conservative look then stick with a softer lip color. Ivory and Cream are sophisticated colors, with some of the warmth of brown and a lot of the coolness of white. They’re generally quiet, and can often evoke a sense of history. Ivory is a calm color. Just like when wearing brown or beige, neutral eye shadows look lovely with this color. You can op for a neutral rose or peach lip or go with a bold pop of color. If you want to give an edge to this color, try wearing a black liner and smude it a bit to give it a little modern grungy look.

A news article discusses current or recent news of either general interest (i.e. daily newspapers) or of a specific topic (i.e. political or trade news magazines, club newsletters, or technology news websites). A news article can include accounts of eyewitnesses to the happening event. It can contain photographs, accounts, statistics, graphs, recollections, interviews, polls, debates on the topic, etc. Headlines can be used to focus the reader’s attention on a particular (or main) part of the article. The writer can also give facts and detailed information following answers to general questions like who, what, when, where, why and how.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT

While a good conclusion is an important ingredient for newspaper articles, the immediacy of a deadline environment means that copy editing often takes the form of deleting everything past an arbitrary point in the story corresponding to the dictates of available space on a page. Therefore, newspaper reporters are trained to write in inverted pyramid style, with all the most important information in the first paragraph or two. If the less vital details are pushed towards the end of the story, then the potentially destructive impact of draconian copy editing will be minimized.
