RECIPE FOR BAKING

The Latest Makeup Trend

Did you think the terms “baking” and "cooking" were reserved exclusively for culinary activities? Not so! This makeup trending technique is used to set your makeup, create a porelesslooking finish, and highlight the high points of the face. Here's how it's done: After you apply your foundation, add a thick coat of lightcolored loose powder with a sponge or powder puff to the face, usually under the eyes, and other places you want to be more prominent, like the cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, forehead, and chin. Leave the thick coating of powder on the skin to “cook” between 10 to 30 minutes, and then sweep it away with a brush for a flawless look!

Kiss Fading Goodbye! Learn how to keep lipstick on longer without the fading effect!

1.) Exfoliate! Dry, cracked lips will only be enhanced if you want to wear a lipstick with some color. Make sure to exfoliate your lips so that no dry skin is left behind! Try brown sugar mixed with a little coconut oil as an exfoliant. It will leave your lips feeling hydrated all day. 2.) Lipliner. Start by making sure you have clean dry lips. Then take a lipliner and start outlining the outside edges of your lips, as well as, filling in the entire lip. This technique acts as a base for the lips giving the lipstick something to hold onto. Rub lips together. This prevents the lipstick from fading and leaving a ring around the mouth. 3.) Lipstick! Take your favorite color lipstick and apply like normal. Rub lips together. 4.) Powder. Take a Kleenex and blot your lips to remove any excess oils. Next take a little translucent powder and pat lightly onto the lips. The powder will absorb an extra oils as well. Eyeliner Under the Eyes

As makeup artists... we want you to look your best! Let's talk about wearing eyeliner under the eyes. As far as color goes it's really personal preference. You can choose black, brown, grey... it doesn't really matter. Application is the key. I have seen a lot (and I mean a lot) of women recently who line underneath the bottom lid. There are a few issues when it comes to lining the bottom. While there is nothing wrong with lining the inner rim (if you're going for a smokey eye) keep in mind it makes your eyes look smaller and closed in when you line the inside. If you want a sultry look, try using an eyeshadow underneath instead of a liner. Using a liner on the bottom of the eye creates a hard line, and doesn't do anyone any favors regardless of your age. Opt for a BLENDED drop shadow. You can use a soft grey to shade the entire of your bottom lid followed by a dark shade just half way across in the same place. In the photos I have shown the difference between a soft yet dark bottom lid and two examples of what not to do. We asked our customers and clients if they could nominate a survivor of who they would want to bless with a day of beauty. We were blown away from the amount of people who nominated someone for this fun day. We decided in the end to honor all of the nominees.
