CONSTRUCTIONAL TIMBER: THE GREEN AT ST RICHARD’S HOSPICE

In the heart of Worcestershire, The Green at St Richard’s Hospice has been designed to provide a central courtyard at the heart of the hospice where patients, carers and their families can meet each other and relax. Working together with Speller Metcalfe and Associated Architects, Constructional Timber was tasked with the manufacture and supply of this amazing structure. The build utilises GL28h Spruce Glulam and was finished with a coat of Osmo 420 UV protection to provide enhanced resistance to weathering during the installation process.

THE JOHN MORDEN CENTRE

The John Morden Centre is a new care facility for the residents of Morden College, a care home in Blackheath, London. It provides additional space for leisure activities that are so vital for the residents. This extension to the original quadrangle buildings provides a less formal series of volumes within the landscape, helping to create a sequence of intimate spaces for the residents to interact with each other and with their carers, staff and visitors.

GROUP HUG HOMES: THE HUG HOMES

Group Hug Homes LTD and Response Organisation aim to go a step further than the traditional model by creating an environment that is aimed at transitional, move-on housing to support independent living, this is an opportunity for residents to experience a real sense of personal independence whilst having therapeutic services wrapped around them in a safe, comfortable and enriching way.

STREIF UK: SOUTHBOROUGH HUB

The Southborough Hub includes a new medical centre, library, theatre/hall, community rooms, and town council offices, together with retail space, forming a new epicentre for Southborough. This landmark building with a GIFA of 2,250m2 is of a unique design providing multi- functional spaces internally, whilst externally the landscape design plays a key role within the development to deliver a welcoming and inclusive public area with gardens that help create a cohesive community space.
