People Place Partnership Purpose

At Radley, we know that children and young people grow through working together, having as much to gain as they can give.

Through shared activities the ability to communicate and problem-solve improves, additional support can be given to core learning, while access to exciting opportunities through music, the arts, and sport increases.

This understanding guides our partnership programmes and where barriers exist, we want to be part of the change, helping to provide wider inclusion, greater opportunity, raised aspirations, and increased attainment.

WIDER INCLUSION

Some communities within our local area are among the 20% most deprived in England, experiencing multiple levels of deprivation. We aim to engage with schools and organisations in these areas to build programmes of shared activity that widen inclusion.

GREATER OPPORTUNITY

Success exists through opportunities to access resources and share knowledge and skills. We aim for our staff and pupils to work with organisations and schools, and for children and young people to benefit from these shared assets.

RAISED ASPIRATIONS

Aspirations shape our life outcomes. Children and young people aspire for less due to limited access to resources and ineffective role models. We aim to provide partnership programmes in which our pupils can lead and greater participation is provided, raising aspirations.

INCREASED ATTAINMENT

A child’s future employment, income, and health status can be determined by education outcomes. The value of sharing best practice and resources through partnership can help remove barriers, raising attainment, so that no matter a child’s changing personal circumstances they each have the opportunity for success.

We are determined to ensure that all our partnership programmes are impactful. That is why each is planned to be meaningful in purpose, mutual in benefit, and sustained over time.

Our partnership programmes aim to bring young people together to share experiences with a clearly defined purpose for success.

MUTUAL IN BENEFIT

Through widening inclusion our aim is to ensure that no matter what role a young person has in a partnership programme they feel a personal gain through their involvement.

SUSTAINED OVER TIME

We aim to build programmes of activities which are sustained, allowing for reflection and individual development through a greater sense of belonging and aspiration.
