PLURAL NOUNS

I nomi possono essere singolari (uno) o plurali (più di uno).

In inglese molti nomi diventano plurali aggiungendo una s alla fine della parola.

Alcune parole, però, diventano plurali seguendo regole ortografiche diverse.

Si aggiunge es ai nomi che terminano con ch, sh, ss, x.

watch - watches dish - dishes glass - glasses

La lettera y diventa i e si aggiunge es ai nomi che terminano con consonante + y.

cherry - cherries puppy - puppies butterfly - butterflies
