It is hot and sunny today. The sea is blue and calm. It’s a beautiful summer day.

This is Leo. And this is his family.

3
Today the family go to the beach and Leo is very happy!
4
When Leo goes to the seaside he usually likes swimming in the sea,
jumping on the sand,
making sandcastles.
5
6
It’s ten o’clock. Dad is putting up the beach umbrella. Everybody is smiling.
Leo is very excited! Today he wants to dig a track in the sand for his toy cars and splash in the sea.
7
Mum is opening a big tube of sun cream and says: “The sun is fantastic, but dangerous for your skin! Everybody starts putting sun cream on their faces: forehead
cheeks
chin.
8
“Don’t forget your nose and ears,” says Mum. “And my head!” says Dad.
What’s the time?
It’s half past ten! 9
“And now on your shoulders… very slowly!” says Mum. “Ok Mum!” says Leo, impatient.
10
“Carefully on your arms, your hands and don’t forget your fingers.” says Dad.
What’s the time?
It’s a quarter to eleven!
11
“Then on your belly, very carefully…and on your legs, very slowly.” says Mum.
12
“Don’t forget your feet and toes.” says Dad.
What’s the time? It’s a quarter past eleven!
13
Leo’s little sister is sleeping under the beach umbrella. There are some clouds in the sky now.
14
Leo is very impatient, he wants to run on the beach but… “Wait!” says Mum, “Put a hat on your head!”
What’s the time?
It’s half past eleven! 15
So Leo puts his hat on. A gentle breeze starts blowing and in a moment’s time it is very windy!
