INDUSTRY EVENTS AND PERKS
This course is for the dreamer who wants to work in an environment that is full of colour, light and beautiful pieces. It is ideal for an individual who spends time sketching designs on mannequins, designing patterns of pastels or bold prints and loves the sound of a thrumming sewing machine and rows of coat hangers clinging with eye-catching garments. You’re religiously keeping up to date with global fashion trends and styles and have an eye for beauty and aesthetic detail. You’re up for spending long hours bent over sewing machines, and you’re not afraid to get your hands pricked with needles.
In your third year of study you will begin work on your final collection, this is where you pull together all of your work from the previous 2 years and bring to life your dreams. As a graduating student, you will be able to present your final range to industry professionals and the wider public at Raffles’ annual live fashion show.
What you’ll learn throughout this course is how to work in a hands-on environment, developing both high end couture garments as well as ready to wear pieces. You will be taught how to think conceptually and create your designs using both digital and manual tools and techniques. By the end of your degree you will master the

BACHELOR OF DESIGN MAJORING IN INTERIOR DESIGN DEPARTMENT OF DESIGN 3 years full time (6 Semesters) / part time equivalent 2 years for Associate Degree of Design Assessments: essays, group projects, research projects, presentations COURSE OVERVIEW
INDUSTRY EVENTS & PERKS
This course expands the students’ understanding of the discipline of interior design. Focusing on the relationship of the human being in a space that needs to function on both aesthetic and functional levels that eventually provides a sense of place. If you are a person that finds yourself excited about entering certain spaces, and you are aware of the materials, lighting, and spatial composition within a building, this course will build upon your interest and provide you with a solid professional education. You will understand the relationship between technological issues and design needs, and how this relationship impacts the architecture, engineering, services and construction of the space.
As part of finishing your degree with Raffles College, we will host a graduate showcase where your major project (an industry level portfolio) will be on display in an exhibition style format. Raffles invites industry and media guests to the exhibition and you have the opportunity to sell yourself to these individuals.
Before starting any interior project, you need to have an understanding of the space you will be working with and the needs and necessities of the people using the space. We will teach you everything you need to know. We will start from the fundamentals essentials – space allocation, building services, traffic flow, furniture, fixtures and surface finishes. You will complete practical projects that will ensure you develop a strong skillset in the industry program Archicad. We will also teach you how theories can underpin the understanding and articulation of design ideas and concepts. You will regularly practice your presentation skills to ‘clients’ to help refine and apply your new skills and techniques to real-life situations!

COURSE OVERVIEW
INDUSTRY EVENTS & PERKS
The world is changing so quickly, and what was once science fiction, is becoming science fact. Multimedia is at the heart of this; allowing a broad view of these changes, but with an emphasis on design and creativity. This course is perfect for the creative who is tech savvy and wishes to communicate their ideas across a wide range of mediums. This is for the designer who is broad minded, and not a one trick pony. Whether it is projection mapping, web design, app development, visual effects or motion graphics – you can creatively communicate in all these mediums and many more.
Raffles has worked with the industry to host events internally and externally. Companies like Razorfish, Binyan, and Channel 7 have worked with Raffles students and graduates. As part of finishing your degree with Raffles College, we will host a graduate showcase where your major project (an industry level portfolio) will be on display in an exhibition style format. Raffles invites industry and media guests to the exhibition and you have the opportunity to connect with these individuals.
Throughout this course, you will begin to explore and unravel the worlds of graphic design, interface design and information design. Along the way, you will develop a variety of practical skills that incorporate web design, game production, motion graphics, animation, print film making and VFX. Not only will you learn practical elements needed for the industry, but you will also learn about the big ideas behind them. The production process, project management, effective communication, storytelling, pitching ideas – are all part of the journey. You will use the latest software to achieve these goals, but more importantly you will develop effective ways to communicate your concepts.

INDUSTRY EVENTS & PERKS
This course is for the individual who knows they have a point of view and are finding ways to share it. You understand that photography is more than just taking a pretty picture; it can be used as a powerful tool to persuade, inform, entertain and evoke response in the view – even incite change! You are creative and determined; you enjoy being behind the camera and exploring observing your surroundings.
As part of finishing your degree with Raffles College, we will host a graduate showcase where your major project (an industry level portfolio) will be on display in an exhibition style format. Raffles invites industry and media guests to the exhibition and you have the opportunity to sell yourself to these individuals.
Throughout this course, you will discover what it involves to be a successful photographer and, that it is much more than taking a good picture. We will prepare you for the industry and the real world, this is done by providing you with challenging industry briefs, working to tight deadlines and meeting expectations of ‘clients’ - all done with a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm! You will be learning how to create strong concepts, communicate your ideas and think creatively. There will be opportunities presented to you, whereby you will be able to collaborate with fellow photographers as well as students from other faculties such as fashion, graphics and digital media. This will help with your ability to work within a creative team. More so, you will be working on location and our professional studios, gaining insight into professional photography and lighting settings. Once you have finished snapping, we will provide you with a skillset in editing and printing which helps you understand, maintain and control your work post production!
Our photography students also have access to exhibition spaces, outside of their major projects, where they can showcase their work at their own discretion. Students are also handpicked for projects or their work – with some students even being published in magazines or books before graduating! CAREERS

DEPARTMENT OF DIGITAL MEDIA AND VISUAL ARTS 3 years full time (6 Semesters) / part time equivalent 2 years for Associate Degree of Arts (Visual Communication) Assessments: essays, group projects, research projects, presentations COURSE OVERVIEW
INDUSTRY EVENTS & PERKS
No matter the technological developments, no matter the mediums available – at the heart of filmmaking is storytelling. This course is for the individual who has stories to tell, and dares to dream of bigger things. You find yourself writing scripts, acting out scenes, visualising character’s reactions, listening to movie soundtracks and you see everything in a cinematic aspect ratio. The world is one big movie, with its stories waiting to be told.
Our Digital Media department works with big names in the industry, who like to pick their newest recruits from within our college. You’ll join a cohort of students who work on feature films, television, music videos and much more. Companies like Double Negative, Mindconsole, Kitsune Productions and Channel 7 have worked with our students. As part of finishing your degree with Raffles College, we will host a graduate showcase where your major project will be screened in an exhibition style format. Raffles invites industry and media guests to the exhibition and you have the opportunity to network with these individuals.
In the Raffles film course you are given a chance to become an agile filmmaker. You are taught a wide range of technical skills, as well as storytelling and creative skills. Early on, we teach you the production process of filmmaking which is vital for production management. Being a design school you’ll have a chance to study broader design topics and theories. We put you in the thick of character development, making short films, documentaries and music videos. The environment you’re in is highly collaborative and you will be exposed to scores of different mediums, some of which can change your approach to filmmaking like VR and AR technology; which puts you at the forefront of a film revolution. All of these skills helps to make you a more well-rounded filmmaker, one which can more easily adapt to this changing industry.
