With economies and industries becoming more market g driven, globally, there is uniformity in the in g prevailing technology and price. The only clear dierentiating factor n a that can and does appeal to the clients and make your products & services stand Ch out from rest of your competitors is the DESIGN. A lot of attention is being given to the design, display and overall packaging of the products and services. This focus spans from designing the basic product to the platform for display whether it's at an exhibition or a retail outlet or for that matter any point of contact with the customer.

e Tr

Though this rule of changing trends is applicable to all the industries, the Exhibition Industry is taking it a step further. Exhibitions are a platform that brings together the producers, suppliers, distributors and end-users of the concerned industry 'under one roof' to display, see and know about the latest developments in products and services oered and share & discuss ideas and issues. Exhibitions have a ď€ xed duration yet have endless business possibilities. This is why the presentation of the products comes into the fore-front. The experiential marketing initiatives leverage design to create an ecosystem where the customer feels comfortable and thus is an important instrument for creating a good shopping experience. The exhibition industry though a bit fragmented and in a developing phase, is growing at a rapid pace developing and exceeding its own benchmarks every single day. It is estimated that the Indian Exhibition Industry is generating an impact of nearly Rs. Hundred Thousand Crore creating scores of opportunities across various industries, generating national and international trade and hence being rightly considered as the catalyst to economic growth.

PDF Compressor Pro Interview of Mr. Nanu Binu – Outgoing President, IESA Mr. Nanu Binu is the outgoing founder president of IESA and is the Managing Director of Litmus Meroform which is the leading service provider for the exhibition business. Q. When did you enter the Exhibition Industry and what was the scenario of the industry back then? A. I had joined the Exhibition industry in 1981. 36 years back few exhibitions were there but the industry was in a very nascent stage. The India International Trade Fair used to happen ones in 2 years. It became an annual affair from 1981. Back then we could count only 2 – 3 exhibitions in a year. Now we have around 450 major exhibitions happening here that are of national importance. Over the years the industry has gone for an exponential growth and is still growing. Q. Please elaborate on the role that you played in IESA. A. I had been the elected as the Founder President of IESA 2 years back. IESA was formed when seven companies got together and now we have more than 100 members in the Association. This is a big jump. I am happy that we have achieved a lot in the short span of 2 years. Q. What was the need to form an association like IESA? A. There are various associations for the industry and we have all the respect for them. But there was a need to form an association that can cater to the needs and promote the interests of the service providers specifically. All the sections in the Exhibition Industry are inter-related but each section has its own problems and solutions. IESA is one big family of exhibition service providers from across India which has been formed to promote the interests of this fraternity under one common voice. Q. What are the highlights of India Expo Shop 2017? A. The idea that went behind the show- India Expo Shop was that we constantly introduce new products and technologies in both - hardware and software. So we need an area to showcase it. Though we do it in our website and through mailers but we needed a platform to show case our strengths to other organisers and to each other. India Expo Shop has become a unique platform to showcase the offerings of exhibition services.

Interview of Mr. HK Bhattad – Incoming President, IESA Mr. HK Bhattad is the newly elected president of IESA and is also the Director of RMB Event Management Pvt. Ltd. Q. When was your company established and what was the scenario of the industry back then? A. RMB Event Management Pvt. Ltd. is more than 60 years old. Back then, the Exhibition Industry was not organised. But now it is much systematically organised. Q. What do you have to say about India Expo Shop 2017? A. India Expo Shop 2017 being the second edition of the show, all the members have come together, participated and supported the show very well. It is a great platform where all the service providers are meeting each other & displaying their products & services. Q. What is your vision for IESA ? A. We want more and more members to join IESA because it is a platform where they can come and share their grievances & concerns. IESA is a great networking platform. India Expo Shop 2017 was a grand success. We want to reach out to even more organisers so we are planning to do the next show in Mumbai.

They discussed (in a condensed format) about IESA's journey and achievements; few issues that the Association was facing; experience of the 2nd India Expo Shop 2017 and some base-plans for the next edition. The members seemed very positive about IESA and its initiative. There was a lot of excitement about the upcoming edition too. Here's what they have to say about the association and the show: “I am pleased with the efforts put in by all members. We will continue to evolve & improve our offerings with time. IESA is one big family. ” – Mr. HK Bhattad, Incoming President, IESA. “I think the initiative called IESA is a success because we have touched 100 members within a short span of 2 years which I personally feel is very difficult for any association to meet. Compared to the last year the size of the show has increased a lot. I can see a lot of enthusiasm and the quality footprint has also increased. This would make the Association more effective.” – Mr. Sural – Liri Tent Technology “IESA has been formed at the right time. Living by its aim to look after all its members and help them share their new technologies and ideas with each other. This enables to maintain uniformity and fineness in quality of the products and services.” - Mr. Surinder Dara, Dara Projects Pvt.
