5. BIM - REVIT MODELING AND DESIGN OPTIMISING THE UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY, NSW Overall the design of the new facade is developed to achieve the efficiency in the performance as well as design. The existing facade is modified, such that it supports the original design concept and the new facade design improvements will transform the existing issues of direct sunlight and Excessive heat gain during the months of November and April. The house is simulated by using reference model of the existing house. The best outcome in respect to the louvre direction and orientation, materials and width of openings are considered and used for the proposal and development of the new facade. Additionally, the results for the reference simulations were taken in consideration to maximise and optimise the overall existing house Performance.

FIGURE : RENDERED REVIT VIEWS

New additions and alterations are proposed for of the new facade as well as to the other areas of the house, which were analysed using the Autodesk illuminance rendering and Revit energy modelling

6. SUSTAINABLE STRATEGIC DESIGN 2017 | SUSTAINABLE DESIGN PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES, USYD, NSW Overall project is design and planned to achieve the efficiency in the energy performance as well as design. Performance of houses is tested using refrence model with minimum energy requirements to achieve the energy targets for passive house according to BCA, The best outcome in respect to orientation, materials and glazing is used in the development of the overall design. FIGURE : SITE ANALYSIS, UNIVERISTY OF SYDNEY

Use of renewable resource is another major key aspect of the design, Solar energy using PV panels, Biogas using compost bay system for waste and on site water conservation is being used. Permaculture on the site is to be followed by each individual house in the framework. User participation and involvement is recorded as another key aspect for the settlement, where community can participate in efficient living system.

FIGURE : SECTIONAL ANALYSIS

Warm Season : Passive cooling and ventilation, Reflected daylighting and shaded glazing | Cold Season : Passive solar heating, Daylighting | Insulation (min) : R 2.0 | Glazing : Double low e (thermal break), Low solar heat gain and High visible transmitance

Passive House Design Sydney is a warm temperate climate where the ideal orientation for the living areas of dwellings (houses and apartments) is North or North East to get early morning winter sun and avoid the hotter afternoon summer sun. Bedrooms should face East to South, as less passive heating but more passive cooling is required. Service rooms, with less thermal comfort requirements, should face West or South. Rooms with most cooling requirements should have the largest openings facing East to South and avoid North West to West orientations. The overall outcome of the conceptual Modular unit is very responsive in terms of IEQ, Energy consumption, Water, Materials, Emissions, Land Use and ecology. An in-depth research was carried out before using the recommended materials for the simulation model.

7. URBAN PLANNING FOR PATAN CITY, GUJARAT 2014 | Studio - Urban design | Patan, Gujarat | Urban Interventions | Group work The development area given were two wards of Patan town out of fourteen wards which the city is formed of, The area was extensively studied as one end of the ward was in the core city area and another end of the ward falls in the outskirts of the city. The ward itself constitued divesity in the culture, as hindus, jains and muslims resided in this two wards itself. Our proposal morphed from analysis of urban context realising the requirement of the ward. Besides developing the street and the lake we worked on the street flow and development of the street for better connectivity with the core to the outskirt of the city.

8. HOUSING AT KHAMBHAT, GUJARAT 2014 | Studio - Housing Patterns | Khambhat, Gujarat Housing | 650 Units How an ideal living conditions could possibly be provided keeping the context and ifestyle of people? The idea gazed to the development of the modular units each consists with individual terraces and position of the houses with respect to the street. FIGURE : MODULAR UNITS ELEVATION

Other exciting spatialities came from the possibilities of stacking them together and arrangement of cluster, creating a vivid environment..

FIGURE : MODULAR UNITS

FIGURE : SITE PLAN

FIGURE : SITE ELEVATION STACKED, GROUPED AND CLUSTERED Individual houses are stacked which forms two-three-four storey appartments, this appartments are further grouped to form various clusters, which are arranged with respect to open space which promotes user participation, all the houses are street facing to maintain the existing living ways. The housing caters four entrances and other ammenities like club, medical unit, private water tank.

9. CAREER ORIENTATION CENTRE 2012 | Institution Studio | Public space| Individual work Brief of the project was to develop a centre for the university students for career counselling, workshops and other cirricular activities. FIGURE : CONCEPTUAL 3D VIEWS

With the understanding of Rigid form, structure and level differences, the primary design foucs was the connectivity and transition between formal and informal spaces through a specified function amongst diffrent levels.

FIGURE : ELEVATIONS ADAPTATION OF THE FACADE The facade of main entrance has a scale of the institute building, Simultaneously borrowing both formal and informal entrances of either side of the main facade.

FIGURE : PLAN

SHAPED AND LOOPED The proposal serves as an transition piece for the students who indulge in activities after college hours, it is a journey through different impressions and space with respect to the activities designated, On this journey a visitor circulates around the public area which is connected through different blocks of building through passages and ramps to enhance visual perception.
