Details
The gate is presently located in one of the main hall of Aligarh Muslim University. The present building began to be constructed in 1885 and was named Mohammedan Anglo Oriental college college after the name of Sir John Strachey. He was an English British civil servant in India who came from London, England in 1842. Initially, Strachey hall served as central building of the complex which popularized as western education among Muslims.

Gate Drawing
Gate is made up of teak wood imported from Lucknow district with polished finish and geometrical Persian stain glass symmetric pattern. Gate pattern housed in the Pointed Lancet arch. Brickwork is of stretcher bond along with the brick powder colour( surkhi).
