Every child blooms in a peaceful atmosphere and is a well-adjusted person later in life. For this parents have to really work hard. But in this enthusiasm to give the very best to their child parents mostly worry about their future. They often forget that a child is at present too an individual. They have to respect the child right from the beginning and not wait for them to become adults.

Children are so special By keeping the belief that children are very special a happy children’s day is celebrated internationally on 14th November. Why? It is a well-known fact that it is Pandit Jawaharlal Lal Nehru’s birthday and he simply adored children. According to him, children are like roses, they need to be nourished and well looked after daily to become world class citizens.

Hence this day is known as children’s day. A happy children day can be achieved daily simply with the least effort.

Even if they listen to the child daily that is enough. Telling them stories, taking time off from their busy schedules just to be there for their child, goes a long way in nurturing understanding between the parents and the child. The greatest gift a parent can offer their child is to understand them in all circumstances and thus creating an atmosphere of liveliness, happiness and relaxation at home. Just as a sapling grows in sunny and airy atmosphere, so does a child grow in the sunshine of trust and appreciation!!

Schools and colleges also recognize this happy children’s day and that day is declared non-instructional. Teachers and the entire school staff take time off and present before children drama’s, entertaining programs and songs so that the children realize just how loved they are. Most of these program’s themes are value based which make clear how much potential children have and children being the future of the nation need to take up their future roles with responsibility. They are also presented with flowers, sweets and gifts. Scholarships are announced for children on this day as a mark of appreciation for the child’s hard work.
