PROFESSIONAL PROJECTS

Throughout my experiences in International works and competitions, I have acquired and enchanted several skills, which have empowered me in many ways. For example I have developed leadership skills whilst running teams in several projects, at the same time I developed communication skills, which enabled me to cooperate and work with many different personalities, also of different countries and nationality, in order to function as a team in the most efficient way. My communication skills have improved significantly over the past years as far as languages are concerned, my experiences abroad and the competition done with international teams have enabled me to learn and understand different languages to a superior level. My experiences in foreign countries have also shaped into a more flexible character. I can easily adjust to any situation even if unknown to me, thus I am able to work under extreme pressure and deliver optimal results. Over the past years I have managed to master artistic skills; with the aid of different IT programs, and project management skills; in regards to different scales and all its stages. My hobbies include photography, photographic composition, sport, music, writing and drawing, as well as a passion for cinema. Such hobbies have aided me in my artistic, visual, imaginative and social formation enhancing the preparation achieved.

The

project involves the renovation of two farmhouses in Piemonte. Between castles, ancient villages and vineyards the project is a tribute to the natural beauty of this extraordinary landscape and the delicate harmony with which the built elements are included in the area. The project seeks to preserve the original sizes of the houses to keep the rhythm of the openings, the structural pace and the consistency of ancient country houses. For the extension, like the really elegant and modern living done in wood and glass, the main concept is to use natural materials to expansion that are always openings to the landscape: a square, a terrace, a swimming pool, patio ... The fusion of elegance, modernity and landscape is perfectly balanced inside the villa and the different ambients. Finishing and nodes are studied in every detail, so as to give wealth to the project. The wine cellar in the lower

level is done with a really strong industrial design, in cement and iron to create a space more tied to the client origin country. the most functional service areas, such as the underground parking, for example, are hidden from the view so as to leave the landscape free.

NEW KONZERTHAUS New Concerthall connected with MSH Nuremberg International Competition: Under voting phase

13.900 sqm building 24.566 sqm building area

Team:

Alvisi Kirimoto Baumstark Bielmeier Architekten Mueller BBM GmbH

Project architect:

planning - concept design - 3d modelling - post production - graphics - interior and landscape design

11

The new hall, a 13,900 sqm

building, has been designed as an stretched and narrow complex of about 105 m in height. The shape of the Concert House is done on this way, to allow the preservation within the lot of vegetation and trees presence. The hall, frontside, with a gallery that counts 1541 seats and that may be extendable to 1653 using choir, is raised up the ground level, so as to leave, thanks to the use of glass, a great permeability of the space. The ground floor is the public, the space of the city and as such is free from unnecessary impediments. Above this is placed a heavy and material parallelepiped of stone, which with its strength perfectly adapts itself to the harsh reality of the Meistersinger Halle to which it is linked. The new building creates a public ring together with the MSH and the front square, which with the construction of the new buildings finds a closure and assumes the role

for which it was designed. The short frontal side is also open to the city with a large and light glass wall that creates spaces for the public, covered and not, raised to enjoy the spectacle of Nuremberg and the nearby Luitpoldhain park. The stone parallelepiped is then emptied into some parts to makes room for loggias and terraces above all in the south-facing part where there are spaces for artists and the offices. A large glass prism is added on the square front to fully enjoy the new public spaces and the view on the green. The stone skin is ruled and opens up where there is most need to allow lighting and ventilation.

NEW KONZERTHAUS | Alvisi Kirimoto | 2017

02 The new concert

hall would like to connect as possible with the area’s existing nature. The hall is flyover, and all the stone building is suspended over a glass floor.

The

island separates the center of the urban life from the area in the north, where the metallurgic factory and the Tamburi district are considered the most problematic for pollution and poor social conditions. For this reason the center has the potential to inject new life on a systemic level in the city. The project is articulated with material and immaterial interventions, with the goal of bringing the island back to a functional and effective performance. The Basic infrastructural strategy has the goal of making the general infrastructure efficient and modern. His intervention should help the island to get rid of the traffic, coming from its role of connection/crossing. The general decongestion would help as well to re-educate the inhabitants to use new maximized public transport, new alternative transportation (via water) and pedestrian bike circulation. The diffused requalifying strategy is partially developed simultaneously to the first one. It includes the punctual restoration of the existing building heritage, the restoration of those structures with artistic and historical value, till the demolition and reconstruction of new parts.

This strategy includes as well the improvement of the public spaces and circulation enclaves. The Performing infrastructural strategy focuses mostly on the waterfront and the interventions within the inner fabric (squares, terraces), which will duplicate the pedestrian and circulation apparatus of the island and will unable it to absorb a new cultural program for the long term. The new waterfront infrastructure is light and with a low environmental impact. This strategy wills to limit the physical intervention, leaving space to a rich future curatorial program of events and socioeconomic scenarios. The socio-economic strategy is the most immaterial, yet the most important for the long term. Parallel to the precedent interventions, it defines the base for the future evolution of the island and its capability to welcome the new generations. A unique cultural program, developed by a pool of experts, will boost the image of Taranto among the list of the places to visit, contributing to combine micro and macro economy actions. These actions might help, on the long term, to transform the actual industrial paradigm of the city into a new service oriented one.

With the design for the new

Textile-City-Park we want to create a productive landscape that invites all inhabitants and visitors to learn about making textile and about how many plants (and animals) provide the ingredients of producing textile fibers and natural dye. Each new plant in the park will have some relation with textile making. The ingredients can be explained and studied but also used during workshops and classes that will take place in the park and in several pavilions and workspaces. Knowledge and products can be exchanged during regular textile markets, festivals and fairs. These events combine crafts, arts, leisure and commerce to attract all levels of Prato’s community. Apart from this specific theme the TextileCityPark offers a diversity of green, spaces and facilities as the best city parks. The plants that provide ingredients for textiles also have esthetic qualities and some of them can also be used for medicinal purposes or as food.

The park spaces combined with several pavilions offer a divers and inclusive program like play, sports, gardening, community meeting, cooking, eating but also cultural events like art exhibitions, theatre performances, film screenings and concerts. The design for the TextileCityPark is carefully planned and detailed but most of all it is a flexible strategy that allows for adjustments in the process but also in the future use: Tree lines can be closer or wider apart with more or less diversity in species; the central open space can be bigger or smaller with a taller or a lesser hill; pavilions can be used for all different purposes and can be internally intensified.

The Fondaco Roma project,

the result of a partnership between the public and private sectors, is the first “concept street” in the world; a “diffused” boutique with twenty shops in 200 meterlong, dedicated to fashion and design, outdoor furniture and stationery, and other incoming proposals. In the most important ports of the Mediterranean, at the time of the Maritime Republics, a special structure was the fondaco, a building used as a home-warehouse where travelers could eat, sleep, rest, buy food, textiles and art objects. The Fondaco Roma project follows the meaning of the term to the letter. No randomness. A whole street, via della Frezza, a few meters from the ancient Port of Ripetta, gives Romans and tourists the opportunity to stay, eat and drink, go shopping. Two hundred steps become the itinerary that speaks different languages: art, fashion, food, sport, architecture, literature, music, photography, design. A road reborn thanks to a project that lasted three years, realized

by those who believed in the possibility of restoring beauty and internationality to Rome. The shops, all different in size and pre-existent, redesigned by the architectural firm have as their common thread the welcome, the use of natural materials, the elegance never ostentatious.

The

bold and radical renovation project has as main points the idea to eliminate the conventional limits of the spaces, connect the existing floors, make the natural light and the green around them protagonists. Main point is having to get in touch with the adjacent secular park. All the walls not load-bearing have become large glass walls. In order to ‘empty’ the space also in vertical, the fireplace column has been designed passing from the living room to the attic, clearly visible thanks to a play of glass that improves the light and cancels the borders. Also the choice of the coating of the column, a white and shiny majolica, reinforces the idea to improve the natural light. A glass house warmed by gray boiserie in the sleeping area, from the wood of the floors chosen, for the rooms and also for the terrace, as a leitmotif between interior and exterior. The personality of the house is already apparent from the double entrance, not only from the classic atrium of the building but also, and

above all, through the new outdoor space. Today the garden dialogues with the giant trees that have always been there. On the ground a tiny white gravel expands the space. On the first floor the sleeping area conquers wide views of the garden, a natural framework on which the study area is declined. A large sofa leads to the master bedroom and to the en suite bathroom covered with veined marble. The living room from which the fireplace column starts is a dynamic open space, with the kitchen, the dining room and the living room that continues with a glass box on the terrace. A new profile also for the attic, no longer dark but open on the landscape with large glazed surfaces on the sides and on the roof.

The

following work is a dissertation project, supervised by Prof. Arch. Orazio Carpenzano and the co-supervisor Arch. Armando Iacovantuono. The first floor is occupied by the EXPO area and a space, in the West body, for the offices. This private space will never go in contact with the pubblic spaces, as it is visible in the first diagram. The other two graphics represent the zoning of the various areas and the differences between private and pubblic spaces. The East elevation shows a duble skin facade that overlooks on the bay, it is realized in fiber glass and silicone. The area where the project will be realized, presents all good ways; on the port bay, on the hill, on the main street and tourist terminal and at last on the market space and pedestrian path. For these reasons the shape will be simple and lenghtened like the area, making an ellipse. The main preexistences in the area, are, of course, the park hill close the site and the Helsinki Cathedral located not

far from the place and clearly visible from the entire area of the port being raised on a podium. The plan of the project provide to combine these two things with a walkway that divides the building into two distinct parts. Now, the two split bodies move within the space having a strain. The East part will smash by the force of the sea that acts on it and the West part extends to the north following the particular shape of the site and harmonizing with the smooth roads adjacent. The deformation properties previously views are even more accentuated in the high. The Squashing of the body East increases, creating an even smoother surface that is in harmony with the sea; the body West instead stretches even more towards North as if to reach the Helsinki Cathedral but without the ability to move.
