Being an Architect on client side got an opportunity to interact with Foster Partners team and to guide them in actual requirements and give a design direction after thorough study and understanding of local culture and brief requirements.

The Integrated Secretariat & HOD building is being designed with the Heads of Departments and Secretariat co-located in an integrated manner to bring efficiency of working. The GoAP envisaged to integrate the Govt. Secretariat and HoD Buildings (around 145 Departments) to enable better efficiency in workflow and better interaction between Departments. For the first time in India the Diagrid structural system (peripheral frame). is adopted considering High Velocity winds (cyclone) impact and the seismic parameters Diagrid This gives a column free space by supporting the structure on the perimeter which gives more freedom of space and flexibility. The project consists of total 5 towers 4 with 40 floors and one with 50 floors of having each floor plate of 49mx49m. The current concept consists of sectors equally distributed with the office spaces (chambers, open office etc.), conference facilities and other office amenities and connected podiums consisting of common amenities for the staff. NetApp India Pvt. Ltd. Office Complex. Association: Gensler - 2016 Location: Bengaluru, INDIA Area: 1,000,000 Sq.Ft. Role: Architectural Designer - Interiors

03

Being and architect iin this project i have to develop themes and concepts for the new campus. Had to go through many brainstorming sessions with client by understanding the core values and work culture to reflect the same in new campus.

Net App’s new office in Whitefield is quite a building to be working in. Spread over one million square feet, the 10-floor office houses, not just a swanky fitness center, but also a well-stocked convenience store and pharmacy. Right outside, there is a tennis and basketball court, as well as a jogging track. The new building, wholly owned and constructed by NetApp, is one of its largest centers worldwide. But not many know that employees have had a hand in shaping it. It currently employs 2,000 people in Bengaluru, all of who were previously working out of a leased facility in a tech park. The new campus has the capacity to accommodate 3,500 people. The scope of work consists of designing the arrival experience before actually entering the building. The concierge services, Grand reception, The training floor with the pre function space and waiting spaces which can transform into a ballroom dining considering the requirement, the Cafeteria supporting the employees 24x7 with vibrant spaces, defined & collaborative seating spaces are provided. The typical floor plates are designed to support the open sating plan towards the perimeter and the hub and conference rooms towards core helping in proper utilization of sunlight which is energy efficient. The conference hall on top is flexible to host all the crowd.

Novaris India. Office Complex.

04

Association: Gensler - 2016 Location: Hyderabad, INDIA Area: 850,000 Sq.Ft. Role: Designer - Facade, Interiors, Technical and Landscaping

As a designer on the project I had to study the company profile & the branding history, Employee relation & client relation is also considered in design. As its a pharmaceutical company the interiors reflect the Nature theme branding and culture.

A global Center for Novartis, a world leader in the R&D of products to protect and improve health and wellbeing. A 850,000 Sq. Ft. built-to-suit building with the state of art facilities, including a sustainability goal for LEED Platinum. The design intent was to link the Novartis’s workplace masterplan to their strategic goals to develop a sustainable and innovative workplace solution to accommodate for future growth and business needs. Role includes base building interventions with redesign of the building envelope with a focus on sustainability, site landscape, employee arrival experience and workplace interiors. The design process included deep interactions and brain storming sessions with Employees. The Scope involves the Arrival zoning out of the building right from the starting of the boundary of the campus via entry portal, passing through the visitor centre which also consists of security block, then with a grand arrival space with over hanging extruded balconies, entering a double height lobby with a grand reception and timber stairs leading to higher levels with part seating. The terrace gardens as part of landscape and hardscape developed on the roof top of parking was an added aesthetic for the building & employees.

Samsung Opera House. Product Experience Center. Association: Gensler - 2017 Location: Bengaluru, INDIA Area: 33,000 Sq.Ft. Role: Experiential Design Architect

05

As a designer and keeping in mind the Samsung as Brand in consumenr electronics its a good expeiential design project. This has a vide variety of users and their perspectives when center is designed based on product experiencing index.

The iconic Opera House at the junction of Brigade Road and Residency Road has reopened with a new branding, but it remains what it has always been: an entertainment destination. Samsung has made its largest mobile experience center in the world. Much of the ground floor focuses on the company’s mobile devices. But the building also showcases the brand’s other products, including TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, 360 Degree Cameras, Home theaters, IOT and more, particularly some of the high-tech versions. Today’s consumers, seek unique experiences like to interact with the brand, touch, feel and create. This is what Samsung Opera House is about. Opera House was built in the 1930s, and was used for operas and dances during the British rule. It later became a film theatre. The building was idle for a long time because of a dispute between the owner and tenants. Over the past two years, the structure was restored and the facade continues to don its original look and feel. Apart from the external appearances it houses worlds trending tech and with VR experience and Product unboxing facilities along with cafe it really makes an jaw dropping experience for the consumer electronics by connecting the brand more with the customers with enhanced product hands on experiences.

COCA COLA Asia Head Quarters. Office Building. Association: Gensler - 2015 Location: Gurugram, INDIA Area: 67,000 Sq.Ft. Role: Architectural Designer - Concepts and Interiors

06

Being Designer on project I had to interact ,understand the requirements of the client. Design the spaces according to their need, vision, culture and reputation reflecting the brand’s identity & benchmarking with other offices around the world.

Most parts of the office, spread over two floors, represents a landmark from the company’s history - from a stamp wall to a wall of wisdom with quotes from Coke’s leaders to its classic ads down the ages. The open spaces in the office make up about 50% of the 46,000-sqft area across two floors. The open areas are ‘collaborative spaces . The idea was not to restrict people in their corners but to have them come forward and communicate, hence the open spaces. Supply chain has also inspired a significant part of this office. You see artfully placed red crates used for transporting the beverage showcasing the history wall. These containers concept have been used for collaboration spaces such as meeting room, training rooms, pantry and storage and rejuvenation area and tucked between them are individual desks and cubicles. Even the elements like used bottles which are signature icons and bottle moulds were used in the design of artistic installation infused ceilings in the entry lobby and in conference rooms. The metal sheets fro the bottling yard were used in the lamp shade product design for a light fixture. These products were used in a way to remind the brands integrity and enrich brands relation with employees.

Westfield Century City Mall. Retail Center. Association: Gensler - 2016 Location: Los Angeles, CA, USA Area: 422,000 Sq.Ft. Role: Architectural Designer - Technical & Facade

07

Being a Technical Architect and as a Designer in the team I had a chance to find a mathematical solution with specific pattern to install facade. Scope also involves with experiential design aspects of the Retail Center to bring in more crowds.

As the landscape of the retail industry shifts by the minute, the endless air-conditioned corridors are transformed into a all-inone micro-neighborhood trend. In an attempt to overcome the conventional big-box archetype alluding to 1980’s consumerist suburbia, a new wave of shopping malls aim to identify with the local environment rather than escape it. Westfield rebrands its Century City property as a Southern California retreat, referencing local aesthetics in its architecture and interiors. A neutral palette with the occasional pop of color, raw materials and floor-to-ceiling glass panes blur the boundaries between inside and out and assign to the space an airy, refined-yet-elegant atmosphere alluding to Californian effortlessness. With plenty of outdoor space for gathering and organizing events, Westfield Century City revisits the original intent of shopping malls: that of a community center that merges retail, culture and social interaction. The various gardens and open courtyards laid in custom-designed patterned tiles host different seating arrangements, from intimate cabanas to communal tables. Travertine planters containing palm trees, cacti and various succulents incorporate the area’s climate adding to the eclectic mix of elements.

Minsk City - Redevolopment of old Airport. Masterplanning and Urban Design. Association: Gensler - 2013 Location: Belarus, EUROPE Area: 34,444,513 Sq.Ft. (320 Hectares) Role: Designer - Visuals & Concepts

08

As a designer and architect on the project team we have to study the context of the city. History and cultures of the people who lived or might be living in once the masterplan is developed. Experience is what lives on apart from design & planning of city.

The Minsk City master plan “Parkovaya Dubrava which translates to Forest Park serves as an innovative community & ecology enabler for the city of Minsk and the future generations of Belarusians. It regenerates the city’s old airport site with resilient framework that will connect the Belarusian afnity with nature and ecology with new and established lifestyle experiences for eventual communities of the project site. These day to day experiences will also be responsive to the temporal nature of the seasons. Surrounding urban districts & eventual residential population of 41,500 will benefit from central bio-diverse forest. Pedestrian friendly landscaped street networks, retail & convention destinations, mixed use district centers, public transport, schools, healthcare facilities, allotments and active lifestyle amenities. We have zoned these different amenities in apt places to increase efficiency of the businesses and the pedestrian friendly city with all the amenities placed within easy reach. The plots are planned and built-up spaces are defined with central court yards and maximized facade and the building perimeter to the plot boundary. The Design involved analysis of building behavior, environment, building footprint, street shading, building envelope, and ecology of urban forest for the proposed city.

Climate Adaptive Sustainable Home. Central Courtyard Residence. Association: ARKITEC-Studios - 2019 (Own Firm) Location: Etikoppaka, INDIA Area: 4,800 Sq.Ft. Role: Project Architect

09

Being the Project Architect I had to sit with the clients understanding family’s history, life styles the of each individual stakeholder, their requirement, traditions & future expectations from all age demographics considering local culture and people.

The client had a requirement of renovating the old heritage with their upcoming requirements. After math they decided to go with complete re designing and new construction instead of renovating the old one. They wanted the historic elements to be retained and incorporated in the new design and the new residence should also showcase the modern styles to please the younger generation with updated aesthetics. The building was designed to adopt to the tropical climate without usage of any air-conditioning system as part of the self sustainable design. The design consists of a central courtyard providing the micro climate with indoor water body and landscaping and sub courtyards. There are two levels and three zones private, semi private and public spaces while buffered zoning. The residence consists of double height living spaces and a library with glass infill roof tiles as skylights and there is ample amount of natural light and ventilation for the house with flow of air moving through the courtyard & other spaces. The semi-private and private spaces are connected to pooja, kitchen & dining with rooftop garden via covered corridors next to yoga space with skylight surrounded with flowing water & plants.

Cyclone Resistant Sustainable Resort. Thesis - Marine Resort Hotel. Association: Graduation - 2014 Location: Visakhapatnam (site), INDIA Area: 1,055,000 Sq.Ft. Role: Project Architect

10

Being the student of Architecture it was my only chance to prove my thought process & considerations for design before entering professional phase of my life. I had to carefully craft my thesis with various research materials producing concepts.

With the division of state new state Andhra Pradesh needs a new capital & in need of lot of investments. To encourage investors we need to provide amenities to accommodate the upcoming events offering nothing less than any international luxurious stay offering the seminar spaces, Banquet halls, Individual Cottages, Hotel rooms, Presidential Suite, Swimming pools, Observatory deck with a scenic view of the sea and the water world and the beach with interactive zones and water sports. There is a lot of research done on the finalization of form of the building which should align with the contours on a hill top with minimal ground work to be done and it should also be cyclone resistant. The facade is derived from the strongest crystalline forms of ocean i.e. corals and making it a breathing skin for the building increases the conditioning of atmospheric air around the campus with minimal maintenance. The individual cottages are placed on contours stepping away from the Hotel towards sea with un interrupted views of sea. There is green roof for the complete building which generate the electricity from bacteria apart from the solar panels and wind turbines to make the building net zero. The extensive vegetation helps in reducing the humidity and improving air quality.
