Family History In the late 19th century, a textile trading concern was established by a noble and versatile businessman named Mr. Bihari Lal Khanna (Great grandfather of Mr. Rajiv Khanna, the current owner), who was also the first to have imported a Textile Processing and Finishing Unit and installed it in Amritsar for his trading company. Later in about 1950, both his sons expanded to a carpet business, bought a small village in Bhadohi, near Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and named it Khannapur and have carried the reputation and tradition of genuine designs and quality production into building a rich legacy of knowledge which eventually translates into the perfect design and quality, for you. One of the oldest families in the Hand Made/Knotted Rugs and Carpets (weaving) business in India, the family business has now converted into a corporate business, is being now run by the family’s third generation with fourth one on its doorsteps. During the 64 years journey, the company has crossed many milestones, all with determination and continuous efforts in achieving excellence in quality, products and services.
