CURTAINS (I) By Rakel Pariente It is true that a curtain is the most popular solution to cover a window. There is a wide fan of types depending of the ambiances or the window. Put in frame a window with a piece of fabric, make the space more stylish and attractive. The curtains can make softer the rigid lines of ambiances, add colour and texture, give privacy, or filter the sun light. There are several kinds of curtains, from the simplicity of roman blinds to the exuberant of classical curtains. Let we see and analyze some sample of curtains: ROMAN BLIND: Normally they are useful for small windows or a window with a frame, young bedroom or study ambiances, although in this case we can use screen as well. Normally, the fabric uses to be plain; although with simply pattern could be a good option for young bedroom.
EYELET: It is a simple system of curtains. It consists on a bar and a hoop on the fabric. The way hang the curtain up is making waves. It uses for long windows, or separate spaces.
JAPANESE PANEL: Now Japanese panels are the trend. They use for long windows and separate ambiances. The idea of combine plain panels and panels with pattern is really nice. They give and elegant style, they can match in minimalist and modern ambiances. They are characterized by their simplicity.
VERTICAL BLIND: They use to hang up on public spaces, or those spaces which haven’t got enough natural light. This kind of curtains, give us a privacy but at the same time, light. These curtains stylize the room, make higher the spaces.
