Shotty, better known as Bucky Howard in the social world. Shotty is an independent rap artist who started out with a YouTube channel called Shotty TV. He has used his networking success to promote his music. In fall of 2012 Shotty released his first album called Through the Static. It is a compilation of his music over the least few years. Bucky has explained to me that he is not exclusively a rap artist, but sees himself doing more singing in the future. He like many artist tries to convey his emotion in his music, even to the point of writing screaming music if having a bad day. Like many musicians, Shotty creates his own music and works with many talented producers. Shotty started out, just recording music in his room. Now he records all of his work by himself in a nice home studio. The real beginning of Shotty starts at home with his family. Many of his family members are very musically inclined and even his God father is Joe Guercio the conductor for Elvis Presley. Shotty explained to me the music is and will always be about having fun. Fun is something he has made in Shotty TV. This YouTube channel started out
years ago as a day to day view on his life. Recording birthday parties or just him making music in his room. Now, this is his biggest tool of getting his art or updates out. Shotty TV just hit 1 million views and Bucky will be releasing a lot of new music along with several new Music videos. Subscribe and stay tuned to Shotty’s new music and YouTube channel. Don’t forget to check out his album “Through the Static”.

A lot is said about Japanese tuners. American tuners are sitting in the shadows of large names like Corvette or viper. These days there are several consumer level tuners in the American market. Ford focus, Dodge dart, dodge stealth and Chevy cobalt. Its previous model the cavalier was a powerful little car. Chevy started a line of consumer level Super Sport models or SS for the car people. This issue’s tuner is Joe Warner and his 2009 Chevy Cobalt SS. This car is the first rally yellow SS turbo sedan, they only made 15 total. They only made them in 2009 and only 474 turbo sedans made total, of all the colors. 40

Miami Comes along
58
Miami, is a city unlike any other in the United States. It has similarities to Las Vegas and Huntington beach.. All three have a similarity in that they have a large party scene and are close to the great outdoors. All three have a interesting sense of freedom and some of the most scenic areas in the country near by. Miami and Las Vegas have similarities beyond what I can explain. I traveled to Miami in May to teach at a symposium in the Bahamas. I traveled there to get a very close friend of mine who is a swimwear model in Florida and California. She accompanied me to the long island of Eleuthera , Bahamas. After 2 days of being in the Bahamas for a few days the tropics had began to creep into my heart or maybe it was the model. We traveled back to Miami. After watching the Sunrise on the Atlantic ocean I was immediately struck by the oceanic clouds and amazing sunrises. I had seen many SOCAL sunsets in my time, but Miami had an usual feeling and amazing color. Miami is the gateway to the Florida keys. This small island chain is connected by the oversea highway, the only island chain connected by a 120 mile highway in the world. This Environment is the only part of the U.S. that is truly tropical. This area is home to the American crocodile, corral reefs, epiphytic orchids, cypress swamps and key limes. After driving with Shelby to Long key, we spent the night in a cheap motel that wasn't very cheap. The next morning we went for a dive near Jewfish hole. A jewfish is a species of concern also known as an Atlantic grouper. Groupers are a large predator fish that are like living statues in the water. The warm clear blue water yields large corral reefs and ship wrecks with

interesting fish and other aquatics. I showed Shelby her first scuba lesson and we swam with a black –tipped reef shark. After she stopped shaking from the fear, we found several nice gentle sea turtles and many other interesting fish species in a extremely colorful reef. From there we traveled to end of the keys at Key west, where we walked through a wild lime grove. We talked and bonded under the blooming limes. After walking the area we came across a place called the Pie factory. Anyone who knows me, knows my favorite pie I Key lime pie. Like a fat kid in a bakery ,I ate an entire pie by myself . The greatest pie id ever had and it cost $3.00. After spending the night in Long key we traveled back towards Miami. Having a few hours before my flight we stopped south of Miami at the crocodile preserve. Like a boy watching Steve Irwin I got a chance to see my first wild Salty. The American crocodile was 15feet long and swimming with alligators. In brackish water. Getting several photos of both species I decided to get a little closer to the Alligator. I spotted a 3 foot alligator in a small pond with manatee. I was in about 3 feet of water before I decided I was a little to far in. I snapped a few great photos and headed back to Shelby. After she scolded me for being stupid I made sure she knew I wasn't too dumb. We headed back to Miami . My most amazing trip with the most beautiful woman I had ever met had come to an end. I said my goodbyes in a cowboy fashion and headed towards my gate.

Urban Logic Arts
70
Urban Logic Arts is a new spin on “street” art or graffiti art. Diego Perez is the owner and artist of Urban Logic. He started out as a typical graffiti artist painting walls and other city objects. He explained you could spend a night working on a wall and have it painted over the next day. So he wanted a way to express his art in a satisfying way. “I want to show the world my art with day-to-day images not in normality” Growing up in several large cities graffiti had a large impact on him . Diego is a singer for Eyes Like Diamonds, he has many fans and followers. Like many artist we have many outlets to express ourselves. Urban logic is not just graffiti spray paint , he also uses many mediums like acrylics, enamels, ink and pencil drawings. It depends on his mood which media he will decide to do. His art is also occasionally political and Diego wishes to change our world for the better. He would love to have artist communicate and come together to create a better artistic culture. Here in Las Vegas. Diego’s art has many complexities to it. He uses several steps, sometimes he uses newspaper cartons, handmade stencils or outline work with ink. He has a home studio that he creates his art in. He creates stickers, stencils and rollers that can be purchased on his website. I strongly urge you to check out his art. THIS
ROMANTIC TRAGEDY
74
This romantic tragedy is a well known Las Vegas band. They are known for their breakdowns, strobes and catchy lyrics. This Romantic Tragedy, better known as TRT first released ” trust in fear” in 2007. In 2010 they released the album ”Reborn” and have been rumored to be working on another. Early this year, I had a opportunity to ask Chad, Mason and David about these Rumors. In 2013 they will be releasing a new album titled ” The Illusion of Choice”. It does not have exact release date as of yet. The album was recorded and had now been produced with same producer as other well known bands, such as Sleeping with Sirens and Woe is me. The three band members were very excited about this album and said it was very smooth and effortless recording. There will be several guest vocalists in the new album including Jessica S., who was featured on the sleeping with sirens acoustic album. Check out TRT this summer! BEE THE UNKNOWN BOND By Ron Chase It was mid-October, during what would seem like the worst storm of the year. I remember the rain was coming down in these sheets, it hardly seemed like rain, it was more like the run off a roof. Josh and my highly sensible self decided that the only right thing to do in such Inclement weather would be to sit on the porch and brew ourselves some beer. Now as a drinking man's leisurely past time brewing beer is exactly that, leisurely. The whole boiling process to make the wort, which is the unfermented soup that will become beer) only takes about two hours. Now I don't want this article to be a how-to on brewing beer, a simple google search (I'm sure you know how to do that) would yield better instructions than I could provide. I'm here to explain why to brew beer. I have always confided in a good bottle of beer, and I guarantee I'm not the only one. There's something very comforting in a good bottle, and that feeling is ten fold when it's an ale, or a stout, or anything from a multitude of varying styles, you made yourself. The process is neither lengthy nor costly, it can be done by anybody 76
ER! and if drinking beer brings people together, then why wouldn't making it. I remember the first batch that we made. It was a dunkelweiss. Somehow I had messed up the amount of sugar to bottle it so it had this almost nauseating sweetness to it. Even still, I finished 5 gallons of that beer because it was mine. Here was something, a drink that I knew already had the ability to make men merry, to alleviate old wounds, to bring enemies together, and the fact that I could participate in such an old event was almost mythos to me. So I brewed, and brewed and haven't stopped, and I would argue that if you've ever enjoyed a beer, then you should try enjoying the work that goes into such a lofty beverage. The oldest recipe known to man was a simple write up for a barley beer. 7,000 years of recorded human consumption can't be wrong. It's like every beer commercial ever made, you are sitting on the couch with your friends playing scrabble, head in hands drooped over your letters, trying to make a word out of JKGHYFT, when in out of the stormy night barges your friend back from the liquor store, arms piled high with beer. That is a feeling we all know to well. Whether it's you and a friend toasting your metaphysical existence with a pair of forties or it's you and your girlfriends giggling over your beers, beer has an infinite quality about it that keeps bringing us as human beings together. 77
