In The News: New MHS varsity football Coach Jason Stealy takes the reins For Jason Stealy, the new varsity football coach at Marshall High School, he was no stranger to Marshall football having watched his brothers play for former coach Rich Hulkow in the years leading up to his high school career. Stealy played offensive line on the varsity team all four years at MHS and then went on to play at Indiana University. Stealy says his goal is to get Marshall back on the winning track.“I have an idea of what I think we can be,” he said. “But, it’s going to take the kids to buy in and work hard and make a lot of sacrifices to get there.”

Being an Emergency Department physician means Williams sees all kinds of patients with a wide range of ailments. “It’s the ER, so you can see anything; there’s no rhyme or reason to it,” said Williams, who talks about working the night shift “Anytime an emergency comes in, you’re wide awake. But, if there’s nothing going on, 2 a.m. is rough.”

he 2015 Calhoun County Fair officially begins on Sunday, Aug. 16. For months, youth and adults have been preparing for the annual event. Whether caring for a growing lamb, watering a garden filled with vegetables or creating a needlework project, each participant has looked forward to the week since last summer. Buyers have a chance to show their support by attending Thursday’s Small Animal Auction, Saturday’s General Project Auction or one of the fair’s main events, Friday’s Large Animal Auction.
