The students grew lettuce from start to finish — filling the trays with compost and then planting the seeds, watering the seeds, and making sure the salad mix grew to fruition. Brian Cowles has done new and used car sales at Grand Chrysler Dodge Jeep, 930 W. Main, for the last three years. The list of tasks he is responsible for is a very long one. “I do a little bit of everything,â€? Cowles said. “Waiting on customers on the lot, answering phone calls, helping customers search for the vehicle that meets their needs, creating deals, typing deals, going through the new or used car delivery with the customer, cleaning the lot, brooming cars, shoveling sidewalks, washing cars, and so on.â€? Being in charge of all that stuff makes Cowles a very busy man. “You put in a lot of hours,â€? Cowles said. “It's tiring. There are a lot of little challenges. Sometimes you have to wait on two or three people at a time and make sure they're all getting waited on FRUUHFWO\ DQG LQ D WLPHO\ PDQQHU *HWWLQJ ÂżQDQFLQJ for people with bad credit is also a challenge.â€? Cowles said that he derives his greatest pleasure from satisfying his customers. “For me the most rewarding part of the job is seeing the smile on a customer's face when we KHOS WKHP ÂżQG WKH YHKLFOH WKDW PHHWV WKHLU QHHGV ´ Cowles said. “I've had customers break down on the lot and cry from excitement. He said he loves working in Lowell. “It's a great little town,â€? Cowles said. “My wife works at Amway, so we've thought about moving out this way.â€?
