he religious observance of Easter is an age-old celebration that has united believers worldwide. For Christians, Easter Sunday is the commemoration of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. For Jews, the Passover season brings the rejoicing of God’s emancipation of the Israelites from the days of slavery in ancient Egypt. The story, as recorded in the Holy Scriptures hundreds of years ago, still lives today and — for a brief season — the world will again cease its acrimony and look toward life’s deeper meaning and greater cause. May the Easter season bring peace and blessings to our readers on this Easter weekend and in the coming year.
