he power that comes to a community and business entrepreneurs when folks do business locally will be evident next weekend when the 14th annual Barry Home Show swings open its doors again at the Barry County Expo Center Friday and Saturday, Jan. 23 and 24. The three enterprising business people pictured here coordinate the show each year as much as a gift of appreciation for a community that as helped them succeed as they do to help other local businesses do the same. Kevin and Cheryl Allerding started their home-furnishing business out of a van 18 years ago, and Sandy Schondelmayer turned a gift for cooking into a flourishing business all because the community recognized the extra quality and service that comes with doing business locally.
