Nico has been involved in Ralph Jacobs since 2013 by adding a “hands-on” approach when it comes to Brand Development. “The tools I applied to my creative endeavors translate easily to business - knowing how to think and solve problems creatively; being persistent and objective oriented; and knowing how to work collaboratively continue to be the core strengths of our firm.” As Brand Manager, Nico takes all the aspects of how customers perceive the brand into consideration, and relays it into an effective way to manage a Multi-Tiered Company with various unique structures.

Rikus Kotze; Business and Development has always been a passion for Rikus. Being able to plan and develop a dream into reality is what makes it all worthwhile according to Rikus. “A commitment to being a Brand Manager, is a commitment to change and evolve. I don’t think you ever really know you’re going the right way, but you must also be prepared to find, and build, a new way” Rikus has been part of the Brand since its early days, and has helped develop Ralph Jacobs into the company it is today. Managing the Brand and being hands on with each and every decision, he strives to bring an alternative way of experiencing a jewellery brand.

Television series

BROADCAST Ralph Jacobs always finds new ways to draw our clients into the Ralph Jacobs lifestyle. Our unique and innovative approach has led us to create a first in South Africa, a 13-episode television series “Designed for Perfection” to be broadcast on VIA Dstv’s Channel 147 and Showmax. In addition the series will be loaded up on YouTube 6 months after the initial broadcast on VIA. The series will educate and entertain the viewer while portraying Ralph Jacobs daily operations, lifestyle, client interactions and manufacturing processes. Episodes like “Diamonds are Forever” and “I got it from my mamma”, will bring drama and suspense to the series. From A-list celebrities and ordinary soon-to-wed couples, through to breath-taking landscapes and behind-the-scenes in the Ralph Jacobs design workshop, the series is one of its kind and a first in South Africa.

We devoted a lot of effort into making our brand one of the best in South Africa and globally. Our brand has an astonishing list of celebrities we have been working with in both the Music and Arts Industry in South Africa. Seeing that we always find new and innovative ways to structure things, our endorsement agreement is based on the impact a celebrity has on Social Media. We then carefully calculate the social media preference, and work out a unique plan to make sure our celerities receive the best offers possibly from Ralph Jacobs. Once we know exactly what is available for our celebrities,we will then work closely with them, their designers and managers, to make sure we supply only the best products to be worn at gala events, premiers and launches throughout a period of one year / 12 months.. The unique pieces worn by our celebrities will then be auctioned off at a special event each year.

An Endorsement with a cause At Ralph Jacobs we believe that each and every person is created in beauty, and therefore our slogan is very specific in this matter; Designed for Perfection. We not only create beauty, but we create beauty for something that is already perfect in every way. Ralph Jacobs created the Women With Facial Deformities Auction (WWFDA) with only one goal in mind : To assist woman in South Africa with Facial Deformities, and to make sure that they receive the love and care that they deserve. By organizing an annual event, we will auction off all the pieces created for our celebrities and in return raise funds for these woman who so desperately need care, surgeries and trauma counseling. All funds raised during the auction will go to the WWFDA, and we will work hand-in-hand with our partners to make sure we give back to the community.

Events Top Female Student Awards Selecting a top ten list of outstanding female students across South Africa based on their academic achievements, community service, career goals and fashion impact. The selection is done throughout the year. The finalist will be showcased in The Ralph Jacobs Magazine where readers will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite candidate. A prestigious event is held in March to crown the Top Female Student.

ANNUAL WWFD AUCTION Annual Woman’s Charity Auction WWFD – Women With Facial Deformities (Born Perfect) www.wwfd.co.za At Ralph Jacobs we believe that all women are born perfect and what she wears only compliments her existing beauty. As per our slogan “Designed for Perfection” Ralph Jacobs design for what is already perfect. Ralph Jacobs founded the NPO, WWFD , “Women With Facial Deformities” to assist woman who are affected by some form of facial deformities, covering all ages and races whilst focusing on where assistance is needed the most. Be that financially or through support or counseling. Throughout the year, with the help of South Africa’s A-list friends, Ralph Jacobs design and create unique jewellery pieces for their red-carpet appearance. These masterpieces are auctioned at Ralph Jacobs annual jewellery auction hosted by Lake Umuzi Waterfront in October. All proceeds are donated to the WWFD.
