Pearl Projects has two main areas of activity: a PearlPress division, specialized in internet services and employing some freelancers from the Philippines and a Pearl Delights division that will start international trade of (mainly) food products. Pearl Projects already started exporting racing pigeon supplies to the Philippines as well as Belgian food products for both expats (contacts have been established) and for the local market. A Philippine company in Cebu will be incorporated in Pearl Projects later this year in order to further expand this business. In the long run, Pearl Projects also want to export chocolate covered mango products to the Philippines. Those mango sweets will be made from dried mangoes coming from the Philippines, which are then covered with Belgian chocolate and re-exported to the Philippines. Some further research and investments need to be done before launching that business. Pearl Projects also has social impact projects in the Philippines: an educational project called Pearl Citizens and a project in agro-tourism.

The Wallonia Export-Investment Agency (AWEX) is the governmental agency of the Walloon Region of Belgium in charge of promoting foreign trade and attracting foreign investment.
