amidst an enticing landscape rich in diversity that has left its mark on hearts and minds for generations. We consider it a privilege to belong here. And we see it as our privilege and duty to lead our company into the future, by exemplifying values such as a sense of responsibility and appreciation. 
proGressinG towards the future with continuity. Endurance and continuity have always been qualities typical of the people inhabiting the region known today as the Salzkammergut.
This is probably best illustrated by salt mining: for more than 3000 years, “white gold” has been the object of a lively trade with the rest of the world! The people of the Salzkammergut also display continuity through customs such as the Glöcklerlauf procession of bell-ringers or the Narcissus Festival. And they enjoy the continuity found in the fine confections to be had at the Zauner Café and Pastry Shop in Bad Ischl. Today, Ramsauer also looks back on 135 years of continuity and endurance. And look forward with consideration and confidence to the times ahead.

tradition with a Golden lininG. Craftmanship, like many traditions in the Salzkammergut, is respected and practised with devotion. The challenging trade of hat-making, or millinery, has been handed down here for more than 470 years. The Goiserer, a double-stitched mountaineer’s shoe which has come to be revered the world over, was designed a hundred years ago. Yet, the craft probably most characteristic for the region is the rich tradition of hand-printing textiles: with unrivalled colours and patterns, every silk scarf and apron is a unique piece

of globally distinct handicraft. For us it is a matter of course to employ the most recent technology at our factory. But our people stand in front of this machinery, not behind it, guiding every operation with a skilled and knowledgeable hand. 

a captivatinG feast for the eyes. The colours of the 76 Salzkammergut lakes are surpassed only by the colours they reflect. These are complemented by the countless shades of green that characterise the forests and fields in spring and summer, only to later become transformed into a potpourri of yellow and red hues. Not to forget the ground beneath one’s feet, with its energizing,
earthy shades. Enhanced by the sun and fitted with a unique glow, the individual hues are blended at times by the Schn端rlregen, the persistent, fine rain that transforms the landscape into a watercolour masterpiece. Even though our sealants offer only a tiny sample of this rich diversity, they nonetheless witness to our fervour for colour.

inspired with creative enerGy. Many have travelled and continue to travel long distances to find recreation with us here in the Salzkammergut. Among them in the past have been famed personages, such as Kaiser Franz Joseph I and his wife Sisi, Gustav Klimt, the Waltz King Johann Strauss, Franz Lehár and Johannes Brahms. They found here both regeneration and inspiration.
