The search for Shangrila introduced Tibet to the world where Buddhism was and is the main driving force of existence. It was this influence which was clearly depicted in the Art and culture of the Tibet that brought harmony not only to the people of Tibet but also to the other nations in the recent days by its influence and spread. Tibetan furniture mostly were based on themes of Buddhism and its symbolisms that lead to the happiness and prosperity of the human kinds throughout Tibet and the surrounding regions. It is Tibet Decors endeavor to preserve and promote the Tibetan Art and Culture among the Collectors and patrons of Tibetan artifacts. Tibet DĂŠcor presents beautiful and genuine collections of Furniture though mainly from Tibet some pieces are from Bhutan and Nepal provenance. Tibetan furniture have always been rare and unique for the Oriental Art and Antique collectors due to their limited production in the history of time. The majority of the collections were originally retained in the Tibetan Monasteries and also from the Tibetan Houses for hundreds of years. Tibet dĂŠcor offers the finest and authentic Tibetan Furniture ie. Cabinets, Chests (Gaum), Tables (Chogtze), Door Panels & Door Sets and Pillar Sets. Each collection are self reflecting about the richness of tradition, culture and nature of the origin and each piece has been carefully selected to ensure the finest quality and utmost care is taken to preserve its antiquity and originality. The collections date from 18th century till the 20th century.

Tibetan Cabinet (Item 61) A 19th Century Tibetan Cabinet also known as Torgam in Tibetan ie a Monastic Cabinet with 2 accessible panels with the central theme of Two Playful Dragons offering the Auspicious flaming jewels ie Norbu in Tibetan placed on a blossoming Lotus on a red background embedded in colorful cloud patterns. At the top part of the Cabinet it has garlands of hanging jewels. At the bottom it has high mountains with waves flowing in between. Mineral pigments used for colors. Size: 115cms x 67cms x 24cms

Tibetan Carved Table (Item 217) A beautiful 19th century Table from Tibet with fine carved golden floral and foliage patterns with a central auspicious symbol of Two Fish offered on a Lotus. The sides of the table normally plain but this special table has carved golden floral and foliage patterns with a central Dharma Wheel offered on the Auspicious lotus. Tibetan Monastic Cabinet with 2 accessible panels with the central theme of the auspicious flaming jewels ie Norbu in Tibetan offered on a pair of a rat like animal embedded on colourful foliage patterns on a red background. The four corners have floral and foliage patterns on a green background. The borders have carved symmetrical colourful patterns. Tibetan Prayer Wheel (Item 328) A beautiful late 19th century Tibetan Pagoda styled Cabinet meant for the placing the Mane or Prayer wheel. There are three tiers of which at the bottom there is a beautifully carved double Dorjee (ritual object) on one side and on the other two sides there are finely carved snowlions. Torgam Cabinet with Drawers (Item 421) A beautiful 18th century Torgam Cabinet from Tibet with two Central Panels which are sliding and the each panels have golden cloud patterns on a green background. The adjacent two panels are fixed with cloud panels on a blue background. At the bottom of the Torgam it has two drawers with leather latches and cloud patterns on blue and red background. It is a special Torgam as the sides have paintings which are a rarely done and to find one with paintings on the sides is very difficult as normally the sides of Torgam Cabinets are kept plain. On one sides of the Torgam it has floral patterns at the top and Two Elephant Tusks offering the Auspicious Silk Scarf. On the other side of the Torgam it has the Auspicious Symbol Vase at the top and the flaming Jewels of Wisdom at the bottom. Monastic Torgam Cabinet Set (Item 442) A beautiful Tibetan Monastic Torgam (Cabinet) 18th Century. Originating from a Monastery due to its overwhelming size used for placing of offerings and religious text and ritual objects. It has six accessible panels on the front with each panel depicting Circular emblem pattern on a red background and has golden scroll works on its four corners. At the bottom there are six drawers each with different animal motifs like snowlion, elephant, phoenix etc. painted on it. The borders has running vines and floral patterns on a red background and the outer borders has fine carved works of colorful symmetrical patterns. Mineral pigments used for colors. Nepali Door Set (Item 448) A Malla period late 18th century Door Set from Nepal. The Door Set has two beautifully carved panels with multiple rectangular shapes on it which conjoins in the middle with floral & foliage patterns carved on it and an iron latch on the top which can be locked. The top beam frame has fine carving works of flower petal at the centre surrounded by running vines carved skillfully by Newari craftsman at that period. The side frame too has finely carved running vines and floral patterns. The base beam stand has flower petals carved allover intricately. Size: Height 244cms x Length 237cms x Width 30cms

Mahakala Tibetan Double Panel Door Set (Item TD428) An early 19th Century Mahakala Tibetan Door Set from Kham (eastern) region of Tibet. The central theme of the two panels are a pair of beautifully painted Mahakala deity. Sacrificial offerings of human senses are also painted on a black background. The frame of the Door set has beautifully painted Dorjee (ritual object) and skulls on a red background. The top beam of the door set has floral patterns painted on it and has geometrical patterns carved on it beautifully. Mineral pigments used for color.
