This Brand Tool Kit contains the guidelines for leveraging the VISHAL brand identity through consistent representation. Applying these guidelines to communications, campaigns and products will add value to the VISHAL brand, enhancing visibility and emotional connection with customers.



Logo and Style Guide


Brand Style Brand style serves to set VISHAL apart from the competition. It creates a personality that can be trusted and admired. VISHAL’s brand style is based on its core principles— strength, harmony, commonality, respect, responsibility, openness and credibility—which reflect a general orientation toward expressing good will and actively staying in tune with what benefits our community and stakeholders. Staying true to these values in applying brand style to content and communications will help to strengthen VISHAL’s brand image and relationship with its audience.

Purpose This guide has been established to outline the standards for representation and usage of the Vishal Group logo and visual identity. These guidelines should be followed by any designer or agency who intends to create promotional materials or communication mediums, or representations of Vishal Group in any form. Following these guidelines will allow Vishal Group to achieve and maintain a public image that is recognizable and consistent, as well as cultivating internal pride for and connection with the Vishal brand.

Logo Overview Our logo is the most immediately visible visual element which represents our organization and brand. Its design is meant to incorporate our name as well as what we stand for. Since it is our brand’s most prominent visual element, the VISHAL logo must always be treated with respect.

The global/flow symbol depicts a global scope with a flow or current running through it which is integral to the whole, as are the core principles we stand behind. The official VISHAL color is 100% Cyan, 60% Magenta, 0% Yellow, 50% Black, Pantone 295C. The preferred ways to display the logo are, reversed (white) on a 100% cyan background, or cyan on a white background. For web applications, use the websafe version of Cyan: #003366. The VISHAL logo should only be used together with its approved colors. Examples of correct logo usage in positive and reverse formats are shown here.

Main Color Palette The primary color for the VISHAL logo and brand is 100% Cyan, 60% Magenta, 0% Yellow, 50% Black, Pantone 295C, a confident and trustworthy tone that is highly visible and impactful. It is essential to VISHAL’s brand image and should be in all communications and always on cover pages. The colors in our main color palette are bold, optimistic and work together in harmony. They should be used together liberally in communications for maximum effect.

Clear Space and Minimum Size To ensure sound representation of the logo, an area of clear space free of competing visual elements should be maintained around the logo.

In this example, ‘2X’ represents the minimum clear space requirement surrounding the logo. ‘2X’ is equal to half the height of the letter ‘V’ in the VISHAL logotype. The minimum size of the logo should measure no less than 16mm in width.

Using the Correct Logo The current version of the VISHAL logo must always be used without exception. Previous versions of the VISHAL logo should never be used. It is especially important to ensure that external graphic artists use the current logo properly and refrain from any customization or distortion of it, including its typography, when designing promotions or content for VISHAL.

For comparison purposes, an incorrect logo is shown with the correct logo. The differences, which may not be apparent at first sight, are visible when the correct logo (grey) is superimposed over the an incorrect logo (black).

Logo Do’s and Don’ts The VISHAL logo’s composition, the arrangement of its components or its colors may not be altered. Under no circumstances may the logo be modified or distorted. Some examples of incorrect logo usage and modifications are shown below.

Do not superimpose the VISHAL logo on any image that may obscure the logo or make it hard to see. Printing a dark logo on a dark background is not recommended.

Tag Line The tagline is the phrase we use to grab our audience’s attention and inform them about us. Used together with our logo, it evokes a personal and memorable image of VISHAL. The tagline should always appear with the VISHAL logo in the arrangements shown below. The tagline is shown with variations for vertical and horizontal placement.

Typography Typography is another essential visual element in communicating our brand. Typefaces and alignment must by controlled to maintain the integrity of the VISHAL brand representation. The official VISHAL typeface is HELVETICA - a sans serif typeface that is clear and highly legible. The type alignment for all our font is flushed-left or justified. The ARIAL typeface should be used in cases when HELVETICA is not available. For web-based applications, use HELVETICA in graphics and use the XXXXX font for all HTML text, including body text, headers, captions and links.

Signage Overview Signs are another important means of brand communication. Our signage and identification can take many forms including banners, hoardings, vehicle placards and T-shirts. The recommended treatment for signage is the logo reversed out of the logo’s color background.

Clothing This page illustrates usage of the VISHAL logo on wearable items. In order to keep our logo highly visible, scale is important. See the requirements for scale and clear space (section 2).

Visibility Items It is important that the brand’s visual presentation remains as distinct as possible from the surrounding environment.

Because vehicles, tents, banners and signs are highly visible, they are among the most important tools for identifying our presence.

Campaign and Sponsorship Banners The brand can also be communicated on banners to show sponsorship of events. In these cases, it is especially important for the visual representation to remain distinct and visible.
