YMH LUKLA Height: 2,860m (9,383 ft) Latitude: 27 41’ 10’’ Longitude: 86 43’ 50’’ Conveniently situated at the gateway to the Khumbu, YMH Lukla provides the perfect beginning and end to your trekking holiday. How to get here: 15 minutes from the airstrip. Lukla lodge offers the perfect opportunity to reflect on your travels. Whether you have come from Namche, Kongde or Phakding you will find here the perfect place to wind down. The lodge has the most beautiful decoration of all with the wonderful paintings of a Buddhist monastery providing a lovely tranquil environment. All this and you are only one step away from your short flight back to civilization. If you have time you must visit the nearby Gompa founded by Kyamgo-Deltsen-Donden born in 1777 AD originally from Sikkim.

YMH PHAKDING Height: 2,601m (8,563 ft) Latitude: 27 42’ 09’’ Longitude: 88 43’ 50’’ With its organic gardens and peaceful riverside location, YMH Phakding is a perfect green haven for weary trekkers. How to get here: 1 day walk. Phakding lodge, 3 hours from Lukla sits in a very tranquil spot on the bank of the river Dudh Koshi, with dramatic pine forested cliff faces on the opposite river bank. Enjoy the views from the pretty sunroom and later relax around the warmth of the fire. About an hour walk from the lodge is the Rumijung Monastery founded by the Sherpa Lama ‘Khemp Dorje’ in the 16th century for those with extra energy to spend.
YMH MONJO Height: 2,850m Latitude: 27 46’ 248’’ Longitude: 86 43’ 391’’ The newest of our lodges, crafted with absolute luxury, acres of space, designed in a classic Sherpa style. You’ll enjoy a warm and comfortable stay at Monjo with the service from the most experienced staffs. How to get here: 1 day walk. 6 hours walk from Lukla & 5 hours from Namche Bazaar, Monjo lies on the edge of the Sagarmatha National Park. The lodge has 11 comfortable rooms with attached bathroom and hot shower. Nearby in the small village there is a small Buddhist Monastery and a primary School. It’s a quiet place, with few tourists stopping, perfect for relaxation and contemplating the natural surroundings.

YMH NAMCHE Height: 3,340m (11,155 ft) Latitude: 27 48’ 271’’ Longitude: 86 42’ 550’’ Perched on the upper slopes of the bustling Sherpa capital, YMH Namche is literally breathtaking! This lodge has also been voted as the best YMH in 2011 and offers Spa services with Himalayan Healers. How to get here: 2 days walk. Namche Bazaar (3440m), the historical capital of the Kumbu, is the ideal place to spend two nights acclimatizing. You can visit Khunde, home to the Hillary hospital and Khumjung where you can see the Hillary school. We offer the ideal homely retreat on the flanks of the horseshoe shaped valley with lovely views of Kongde Ri. . Only 10 minutes behind the hotel you can enjoy the panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse and the beautiful Ama Dablam.

YMH THAME Height: 3,800m Latitude: 27 49’ 873’’ Longitude: 86 39’ 030’’ Surrounded by snowy white peaks, nestled beneath the protecting gaze of Thame Gompa, Thame is a delightful, cosy retreat; you may never want to leave! How to get here: 4 days’ walk (including acclimatization). A five-hour walk through magnificent countryside and pretty forests lead you to the charming village of Thame (3,800m) on the old trading route from Tibet also the birthplace of both Tenzig Norgay and Apa Sherpa who climbed Everest 21 times. During the day you can explore the 16th Century Thame Gompa (within an hour walk) or you may also choose to go to Sandar Peak from where the panoramic views are excellent.

YMH KONGDE Height: 4,250m Latitude: 27 46’ 027’’ Longitude: 86 41’ 030’’ The highest of our lodges, YMH Kongde holds unparalleled views over the entire Everest range. It’s simply amazing! How to get here: 6 days walk (including acclimatisation). Kongde is one of the highest hotels in the world at 4,250m; it has 14 rooms. With few hours of walk from the lodge, you will be well rewarded with the majestic views of five of the world’s highest mountains - Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho-Oyo, Gyajung Khang (the highest under 8000m), and Ama Dablam . Additionally, you can also witness the spectacular Khumbu valley and the Kongde Lake!
