Paulina has a definite four-season climate, but the area is semi-arid, with total precipitation averaging 14.5 inches per year and an average snowfall of 38.5 inches. With 300 days of sunshine a year, Paulina and the surrounding areas have a very comfortable climate.

Under Oregon law, all water is publicly owned. With some exceptions, cities, farmers, factory owners, and other users must obtain a permit or water right from the Water Resources Department to use water from any source, whether it is underground, or from lakes or streams. Landowners with water flowing past, thru, or under their property do not automatically have the right to use that water without a permit from the Department. The water of Oregon are administered by the State of Oregon under a “priorappropriation” doctrine; first in time, first in right.
All mineral rights appurtenant to the property and owned by the seller will convey to the buyer at closing. Mineral rights are not guaranteed. It is suggested that the buyer conduct a mineral search with a title company.
