AREA HISTORY The southwestern corner of Colorado is part of the Four Corners Region, where four states meet: Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona. The area is famous for the ancient civilization that once inhabited the region. There was a substantial population as early as 2500 BC, and they left behind multiple ruins and evidence of their existence. Fishing on the ranch is fantastic. Approximately 0.4 miles of the West Fork of the Dolores River courses through the ranch. Flycasting is accessible from the river, and hip waders are generally sufficient. There has been fishing habitat enhancement which has improved the quality of the fishing as well. Browns, rainbows, and some brook trout are the quarry. There is also a large pond on the property that could be stocked for still water fishing. If you want to give the trout on your stretch of river a chance to heal their sore mouths, there are a variety of other fishing opportunities nearby.
