AREA HISTORY

About 100 years ago, the property was bustling with over 100 men mining copper, silver, and gold. The mines were underground, and shafts were located near the rear of the property, away from the beach. A cable bucket was used to transport ore from the mine to the beach but closed when the ore ran low. You will still find remnants of the rich mining history throughout the property.
