The closest major airport is Robert’s Field/Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM), 30± miles southwest of West HensleyButte. RDM is located in the heart of Central Oregon and is currently served by five air carriers: Alaska Air, American Airlines, Avelo Airlines, Delta Airlines, and United, with daily direct flights to Denver, Los Angeles International, Burbank, San Diego, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, and Seattle. RDM offers 28 daily commercial flights, long-term parking, and shorter lines. The airport is home to the USDA Forest Service Redmond Air Center, Life Flight, Butler Aircraft Services, Les Schwab, Bonneville Power, and Henderson Aviation. Portland International Airport is also an option for air travel, about a 3-hour drive from West Hensley Butte.
